Basketball for the Win

Obviously Uconn's women basketball team is the top of their league. The games are exciting and the crowd is always huge. Men's basketball is also a very skilled team that never fails to put up a good fight which always makes for a good game. The football games here are fun to go to and are a huge social scene before, during, and after the game for anyone who goes. In addition Uconn offers sports for everyone including an Equestrian Team and Polo Team.

Most Overlooked Teams

Basketball overshadows every other sport at UConn.

School Spirit

UConn has a large number of dedicated fans. Connecticut may be a small state, but it's filled with big voices to scream out a Husky cheer. Everyone needs at least one UConn shirt—grab one at the Co-op. Tailgating is popular for the football games, and the student section is always full for basketball games.

Getting Tickets

The athletic ticket office is located near Gampel Pavilion in the center of campus. Tickets are fairly cheap with your student ID, and most events are easy to get tickets for. Seats in the student sections have the best seats in the house, so they're definitely worth it.

Best Place to Take a Walk

Just walking around campus can be fun, or if you're looking for a more scenic walk, check out Horsebarn Hill.

Did You Know? The UConn men's basketball team has won three NCAA Championships, and the women's basketball team has won seven.
