Very Good

UConn is very proud of its division one athletics. Although our football team is not the best, our national champions basketball team (both men's and women's) are very excellent. People show up hours before the game to get the bets seats and the school spirit is always great. One downfall is that some of the basketball games and all the football games are located 25 minutes off campus, but there is transportation (cheap) to bring you there and back without a problem.

Most Overlooked Teams

Basketball overshadows every other sport at UConn.

School Spirit

UConn has a large number of dedicated fans. Connecticut may be a small state, but it's filled with big voices to scream out a Husky cheer. Everyone needs at least one UConn shirt—grab one at the Co-op. Tailgating is popular for the football games, and the student section is always full for basketball games.

Getting Tickets

The athletic ticket office is located near Gampel Pavilion in the center of campus. Tickets are fairly cheap with your student ID, and most events are easy to get tickets for. Seats in the student sections have the best seats in the house, so they're definitely worth it.

Best Place to Take a Walk

Just walking around campus can be fun, or if you're looking for a more scenic walk, check out Horsebarn Hill.

Did You Know? The UConn men's basketball team has won three NCAA Championships, and the women's basketball team has won seven.
