Off-campus dining mostly includes takeout and delivery restaurants that serve pizza and wings. They deliver right to your dorm building, and you usually don’t have to wait long for them to get there. Students can pay with cash, credit cards, and even Husky Bucks. These restaurants are all located on the outskirts of campus, making them within walking distance. If you have a car, you can venture farther off campus to other restaurants like Applebee's and Angellino’s Restaurant. Manchester is only 20 minutes away and has a plethora of restaurants to choose from if you feel like having a night out.

What?

UConn is located in the small town of Storrs. The only restaurants are on campus. If a student would like a change in cuisine, a 10 mile drive is the minimum fee. Prices and food are good. Options are few.

Not Many Places

There really isn't much in Storrs besides UConn. You would have to go about 20-30 minutes off campus in order to find a good restaurant. For off campus living, many students still have flex passes and husky bucks where you can get take-out food or use husky bucks at many places off campus.

There is a trump tower in Stamford so you can find some decent restaurants. However, most people just eat at home before they commute
