Student Author OverviewWhat's This?

By the end of their years here, most students look back and are happy with their choice. They’ve received a good education and generally met some people who they will keep in touch with far into their ‘real’ lives. This love of the school comes about gradually for many students. While some students love it automatically and fit in easily with the relatively homogenous campus, others take longer to find their place and truly start to enjoy themselves.

While many students have a slow start here at Delaware, they all report that once they decided to give it a chance, they found their experience rewarding, not only academically but socially. This University tends to provide a nice balance between a social life and an academic one. There is always plenty of time to hang out and get your work done, so no matter what you are interested in, you have a chance to get it all done. This is the major benefit of attending the University of Delaware.

UD Rocks!

I love the University of Delaware! I haven't gotten involved into any serious activities yet because I am just a freshman in my 1st term but I know what I am going to do. The only problem is there's so much around you, you can never get enough of it!

Lots of Things!

There's Carpenter building, the Bluehen's fieldhouse, tonnes of places for sports! The student centers are excellent, as for campus activities there's so much going on that it's hard to keep track. There are tonnes of clubs to join, but the experience of creating your own club is the best!

Biotechnology Major

The misconceptions regarding this major are staggering to be honest. Anyone is biotechnology is either considered a nerd(outsiders) or genius(peers). But the truth is, just like any other major, it requires hard work but is not overwhelming provided you are passionate enough to persevere. And you would be surprised how well rounded some of us can be!
