Overall ExperienceWhat's This?

By the end of their years here, most students look back and are happy with their choice. They’ve received a good education and generally met some people who they will keep in touch with far into their ‘real’ lives. This love of the school comes about gradually for many students. While some students love it automatically and fit in easily with the relatively homogenous campus, others take longer to find their place and truly start to enjoy themselves.

While many students have a slow start here at Delaware, they all report that once they decided to give it a chance, they found their experience rewarding, not only academically but socially. This University tends to provide a nice balance between a social life and an academic one. There is always plenty of time to hang out and get your work done, so no matter what you are interested in, you have a chance to get it all done. This is the major benefit of attending the University of Delaware.

Knowledgeable and Helpful Staff

I chose UDel for their Athletic Training/ Exercise Science programs. The staff is very well qualified and most professors and advisers are truly there for the students. Both of these programs (AT and ExSci) are very well developed and hands on here. There are many resources and the advisers help students figure out how to succeed and excel. There are many help centers and tutors available if needed.

FOOD.

There are plenty of places other than the Dining Hall to get food. There is a website called hungryhens.com and it will be your savior throughout the semester.

Laird Campus.

If you are going to live any where on campus, live on Laird Campus. Everything is new. If not, then get off campus housing because everything else kind of sucks.
