Student Author OverviewWhat's This?

You can survive, and even become a little plump, on dining hall meals. There is always plenty of food, but the food itself it not always so tasty. There are some people who are tremendously fond of the dining hall and sing its praises, but most students find themselves looking for other options pretty quickly. The food courts are a good place to use your points, and students often find themselves choosing fewer meals in favor of points.

After some time, students figure out which dining halls prepare which meals the best and move between them to satisfy their cravings. One of the major motivations to move off campus is the ability to escape the dining hall food. The dining hall experience gives you a new appreciation for cooking, and most students are happy to break away from the poor quality, tasteless meals that the dining plan offers.

Freshmen 15

The dinning halls around the campus are filled with delicious food. However, there aren't many healthy options for students. It's tough to make the right choices when there are ice cream machines and pizza places within arms reach. No wonder why the "freshmen fifteen" is such a popular phase for college students. All in all the food is good and convenient for students but there's not much nutritional value to the foods that are served.

Nice Campus to Be on

I love the campus at UDel. The gym can be crowded but has all the equipment I like. The student centers are great spots to eat or study between classes. My favorite spot is the south green by the fountain, it's a great study spot on nice days.

Alright

Some days are good. Others are terrible. It's usually somewhere in between. There are definitely a lot of options, though. Salad bars are good, and there are a lot of dining plans.
