College Prowler Take
A main priority here at UD is to keep the campus as aesthetically pleasing and well-equipped as possible. The University (quite amusingly) fights a losing battle to keep the grass growing in areas that are major student hang-outs. Besides these few areas, the landscaping and architecture is stunning, and many students have said they chose Delaware simply because “it was so pretty.” While this may not be a good reason to choose a college, it definitely reflects the quality of the facilities and overall appearance on campus. Besides aesthetics, UD facilities are quite functional as well. The gym is fully equipped and always remarkably clean for a gym. The campus provides computer labs, study areas, and food courts fully stocked and impeccably clean for student enjoyment. Most students find themselves overwhelmingly pleased with their surroundings and the equipment provided for their use.

The facilities on campus are all...
The facilities on campus are all nice. The U of D puts a lot of time and money into campus aesthetics. Most of the sidewalks are brick and the campus is expertly landscaped. The old buildings have been remodeled or are up for remodeling, and there are many new buildings springing up all the time. Many offices are in historic houses that have been remodeled for office use. There are a few buildings that are ugly box shapes or tackily modern but, for the most part, they stick to the colonial architecture with new buildings. |

Everything is really nice and easy...
Everything is really nice and easy to use. The gym equipment is very nice, and there are many different machines to choose from. There is a gym near each dorm, and then there is one called the Bob Carpenter Center that is a bigger gym, and has a weight room and a pool. One student center has the bookstore, a place to eat, and sometimes holds special events. The other one has a little gift shop, food, rooms to study in, and a movie theater downstairs. The campus is absolutely beautiful and also incredibly clean. |

The facilities are all pretty...
The facilities are all pretty good, and the people that work in them are really helpful. The athletic buildings are beautiful. We have gyms on both sides of the campus (small gyms), and then we have a large gym near the one end of campus. It is really nice. I would have to say we have a really nice athletic building. |

The student centers are clean and...
The student centers are clean and kept up-to-date. The athletic facilities seem to get a large portion of our tuition funding; they are kept in very nice condition. The computer centers are kept up-to-date with the latest software and computers. |

The library has a nice copy center...
The library has a nice copy center as well as a pretty good snack-bar-type place. Trabant has a good study area that not many students seem to know about. Perkins has one that even fewer kids use. Once you learn the nooks and crannies, then you’ll be very happy with the facilities. |
