Student Author OverviewWhat's This?

A main priority here at UD is to keep the campus as aesthetically pleasing and well-equipped as possible. The University (quite amusingly) fights a losing battle to keep the grass growing in areas that are major student hang-outs. Besides these few areas, the landscaping and architecture is stunning, and many students have said they chose Delaware simply because “it was so pretty.” While this may not be a good reason to choose a college, it definitely reflects the quality of the facilities and overall appearance on campus.

Besides aesthetics, UD facilities are quite functional as well. The gym is fully equipped and always remarkably clean for a gym. The campus provides computer labs, study areas, and food courts fully stocked and impeccably clean for student enjoyment. Most students find themselves overwhelmingly pleased with their surroundings and the equipment provided for their use.

Lots of Things!

There's Carpenter building, the Bluehen's fieldhouse, tonnes of places for sports! The student centers are excellent, as for campus activities there's so much going on that it's hard to keep track. There are tonnes of clubs to join, but the experience of creating your own club is the best!

Library Is Lacking

The library, also known as "Club Morris" by the students of the University of Delaware is out of date. Although the library is huge and filled with tons of resources for students, its old and becomes quite crowded during finals week. It's almost impossible to find a spot to study! Libraries are supposed to be a spot where students can concentrate and get work done, however its impossible to do so when one cant find a seat! Regardless, there are plenty of books, articles, magazines and computers for students and the hours are very convenient.

Nice Campus to Be on

I love the campus at UDel. The gym can be crowded but has all the equipment I like. The student centers are great spots to eat or study between classes. My favorite spot is the south green by the fountain, it's a great study spot on nice days.
