College Prowler Take
If you are trying to get around town, it is extremely easy. The UD shuttle buses run every 20 minutes, and take you pretty much anywhere students need to go. Buses are often unnecessary, as pretty much everything is within walking distance, depending on how much time you have to get there. Nothing is really that far away that you can’t find a way to get there.
Most people don’t use the city transportation because the UD service is adequate, but there are some die-hard shoppers who take the Dart Bus out to the mall. This is a convenient and inexpensive way to get out of Newark for an afternoon. Getting even further away from campus can be a bit of a challenge. The nearest large airports are an hour away in either direction. If you choose to take the train, you only need to go as far as Wilmington, and then you can get anywhere you please. On a whole, transportation is easy and accessible to students.

The one good thing the U of D does with transportation is run a late-night bus on weekends. This provides a safe way for partying students to get back home late at night. Due to the increase in students over the years, the buses have become more crowded, but there are rumors of plans to add more buses and have them run their routes more frequently. |

I’ve never needed to use public transportation when I lived on campus; everything is within walking distance. The campus buses are pretty convenient when living off campus if you live by them. |

I only use the shuttle buses that take you to various places on campus. They’re generally very good, although sometimes they’re late. I wouldn’t rely on them too much for getting to class on time if I were you. |
