College Prowler Take

Other than alcohol and marijuana, you don’t hear much about drugs on the DU campus. Drinking is a fairly popular activity, to say the least, but there are plenty of other things to do if drinking is not your scene. Although many of DU’s parties are judged by the amount of alcohol and/or marijuana present, it’s not impossible to have a good time without them. At times, the campus buzzes with rumors of cocaine or methamphetamine, but for the most part, hard drugs aren’t a factor. Most students don’t want to even think about the consequences of getting caught with hard drugs, much less live out those consequences.

Even so, some students have their ways of finding their drugs of choice. Many times, however, this requires a bit of traveling to other (larger) schools. Some students take advantage of friends at CU or CSU, which are prime spots to buy what you’re looking for.

I haven’t seen too much of the drug scene around here, except for weed and alcohol. Some parties can get pretty crazy, and if you want hard drugs, you can find them there. Some bars around here are kind of shady, too; there’s gotta be some strange deals going on, as far as drugs are concerned.

It’s all pretty hush-hush, but there are hard drugs on campus. People just don’t know about them because everyone hangs out with the same people. A lot of students are really into drinking and smoking weed.

I haven’t seen too many drugs around here. Then again, I haven’t really looked. I’m sure if you were into that, you could find what you wanted, but most students stay away from it. I’ve heard of a few kids who go up to CU or CSU to get their drugs.

What drug scene? I don’t think one exists at DU. Except for alcohol, if you consider that a drug. There’s plenty of weed, too, I guess, but nothing hardcore. Although, a few years ago, some kid got busted for having a meth lab in his dorm room that blew up—whoops.

It seems like DU’s campus is pretty well insulated when it comes to drugs. Drugs are here, but they’re not obvious, and not very many people know about them. Mostly, people are content with weed and alcohol.
