College Prowler Take
Students generally enjoy their time at DU and are content staying for four years. Classes are interesting, professors are friendly, and the campus is in the middle of a growing, energetic city. Social life at DU is varied and engaging, and students often say the best part of their time at DU has been the memories and friends they’ve made. Some students complain that DU lacks diversity, and they say that the campus is too small, there’s not enough school spirit, and it’s too expensive. Some can’t wait to get away on the weekends to go party or attend football games at CU Boulder or CSU. Others are looking for more of an academic challenge in their college careers. DU offers a nice balance of academia and partying. If you’re looking to dedicate your college years solely to developing your career and learning as much as you can, DU probably isn’t the place for you. If you want to learn, but also want to have some fun in the process, DU might be the perfect fit.

I absolutely love DU. My years here have been some of the best of my life and, unlike high school, I do not want to graduate. The people are nice and fun, the campus is lively and exactly the perfect distance from the city life in Denver. Classes are small, and professors are almost always well experienced and respected professionals in their fields. They care about their students and in a lot of cases bother to learn their names. I am a transfer student who came to DU my sophomore year, and if I could do one thing different, it would be to have come to DU my freshman year.

Overall, I have enjoyed my experience at DU immensely. I have met some great people along the way, and I have been fortunate enough to experience some of the best times of my life here in Denver. It’s a great city, and I hope to move here after I graduate to find a job. The weather’s nice—there is tons to do, and the mountains are incredible. |

I love this school. At first, the people can seem really snotty and exclusive, but once you find your niche, you really start to feel at home. I think everyone’s experience is very unique and different because the school has so much to offer. It all depends what you are interested in and what you decide to get involved with. |

Once I found my place here, I was really happy. It might take a while to get into your groove and make true friends, but DU is a small enough school that sooner or later, you’ll feel right at home. |

DU is a great college experience. I think with any university, there are always things you want to change—no school is absolutely perfect. I would definitely recommend DU to students searching for a good time and a good education. |
