It's Florida: August-midOctober will be hot as hell no matter what. When it rains it rains sideways, so invest in some sort of leather footwear or rainboots, and a rain jacket. It gets moderately cold which is nice, and there are some semblance of seasons here.

Definitely a football centered school, with most people loving it. The school also has a lot of other good sports like basketball, but also gymnastics, and other not the norm sports

Wont Starve – The Dinning Halls are basically something you only do once, and not willingly. You won't ever starve if you get a meal plan, since they always have pizza, cereal, and ice cream, but their fish isn't edible, i don't ask where they got their meat, and often the food gets repetitive.
The on campus dinning that aren't dinning halls are very yummy, especially Panda Express, Subway, Burger king, and Einsteins Bagels.
I was Very angry when they took out Taco Bell

There are not a lot of options, but if you work hard and are active on campus then there are opportunities.

Food is pretty good but it is very expensive, and there are only two halls, the rest are fast food options.

Passable, but prevalent. There are computer labs around campus and they are available in all of the libraries.

Not Existentt – Best way to get to campus is through the use of public transportation. Parking is far from where the students actually take classes. Permit is not that useful.

There is nothing like being a Florida Gator. So many fans and tailgating is the best.

Living on campus provides the convenience to walk straight to class. The campus is big so you can keep busy with various activities. Tailgating on the weekends or weekly movies at the union's theatre.

A Great School That Appeals to Everyone! This school has something for everyone. if you're into sports, UF football and basketball games are an exciting experience and something everyone looks forward to. The school spirit here is amazing and everyone really gets into the game. If you're really into academics, UF offers a lot of challenging courses and can make you forget all about how easy high school was. There's always something to do here to, like GatorNights on Fridays and of course all of the weekend frat parties if you're into that. While a lot of students here do go Greek, their presence is not overwhelming enough that you can still feel comfortable not going Greek and still have fun. Overall I would say that this school has been a great fit for me and I would definitely choose it again if given the chance.

Very Diverse – Walking from class to class you can see people of all backgrounds including everyone from Asians to South Americans.

Computers are reliable and easy to use. Most people have their own computers. If they have any trouble with them they can visit the Computer help office on campus. One can even set up appointments to have one on one assistance. Printers are very accessible and easy to use.

Lots of Research Opportunities – Research positions are very competitive, but there are a lot of them. The school gets a lot of funding and as a result there are many professors working in a huge variety of subjects. As long as you're persistent and intrepid you can find amazing opportunities to work personally in an area that's interesting to you!

Permits are very expensive, and you can only get one if you live on campus except for commuter lots, which never have any open spots when you could possibly need to get to class. Even legitimate permits for on-campus residents won't get you a spot most of the time, and the ones you can find are nowhere near where you need them. Best bet is a scooter. There's a lot of open, convenient scooter parking all over campus.

Guys & Girls:
Greeks Are Everywhere – Greek guys dress nicely, but Sorority girls wear baggy work out clothes on campus every day.

An Organization for Everyone – Whether you want to get to know the people in your dorm better, connect with other people who love math, form an IM team with like-minded people, or get involved in a religious organization, you will be able to find what you're looking for. There are tons of well-run, exciting, and engaging organizations to be a part of and find long-lasting friends in.

Perseverance, Perseverance, Perseverance – Getting the right parking tag, being mindful of when you get to campus, and being patient are necessary in a good parking experience. Don't expect to park right next to your class, though. You'll need to walk from the parking lot.

Sports = Awesome – Sports at the University of Florida are fantastic. The whole student body gets behind the teams and going to the games is an experience like none other. The athletic facilities are state-of-the-art and the IM program is all-inclusive and lots of fun.

It rains often but its not a problem for me. also the wind keeps campus cool even if the temp is +90*F

Tire Nightmare – Unless you live something like +8 miles from campus, seriously ride your bike. It will still be faster. I beat the bus and the scooters to class everyday! I live 1.5-3 miles from campus.

I never had a problem with receiving my financial aid.

UF is very well known for it's school spirit and it's football team. On game days, you can see everyone on campus and off campus dressed in blue and orange, supporting their favorite team and getting together to watch the Gators win some games.

Health & Safety:
Personal Safety – The campus police does a great job to ensure that all the students are aware of any possible dangers. Also, the provide fliers with tips on how to stay safe around campus during the late hours. UF also provides a great bus system that runs til late hours of the night to ensure that no student is walking alone in the dark. Other than that, i have never had a negative or dangerous experience during my time on campus.
