Anything You Can Think of – Off of the UF campus there are numerous places to stop and eat. Many require driving, but there isn't really anything missing.

At UF, I've found there is little of a happy medium. There are a few nice months in the fall, but otherwise it is either unbearably hot or cold. The winter months have been freezing and the summer months keep you sweating. Going to UF is worth it though:)

Great Location! Gainesville is definitely a college town. There is always something to do at night, and even during the day. The sporting events are always exhilarating, and the nature surrounding the campus is beautiful.

Health & Safety:
Generally Safe – I feel generally safe on campus, though crime is frequently reported. It is unsettling to receive the amount of emails I do regarding gunpoint robberies and muggings on campus, right behind my dorm in fact. The frequency of the "Emergency Button" system is helpful, as is the way in which the University responds to crimes by emailing the entire student body with warnings of certain predators. If anything, I would like to see crimes like these better prevented.

Gainesville Police Target Drinking – DUIs and written arrests for underage drinking are overflowing in Gainesville. The police are ridiculously strict, are spicifically looking for DUIs coming from midtown and downtown, profile college students (and have no respect for them), prowl bars and nightclubs even I.D.ing people with wristbands...

Don't Hang Out With Trash – Law enforcement is tough and the university does as much as possible to prevent, promote awareness, and promote anti-drug campaigns. However, as always, it all depends on the people whom you surround yourself with.

Two Off Campus Worlds – The areas around campus have tons and tons of apartments ranging from luxury to budget busters... And each complex is DYING for renters so there will be no trouble finding one... there is always promotions on campus and locally.
However, the east side of campus versus the west side is an entirely different experience. Apartments near 13th street are more affordable with closer location to nightlife and the busiest buildings on campus. Apartments near 34th street tend to be a little more expensive because they are more 'luxury.' The cheap apartments on this side will be a little more "rough." But the location to the mall is more convenient.

Not the Best – Praking spots are hard to come by, even if you pay for a parking pass you do not always have a spot. The majority of parking for students was out of the way. It was easier, cheaper and quicker to park off campus and ride the RTS bus to school.

I wasn't a part of Greek life at my school. I had some friends in Greek life and they were all very friendly to others.

The Greatest – UF is the best school! We have a strong emphasis on academics, an awesome athletic program, and the best school spirit!

UF has a diverse population. While the majority of students is white, one wouldn't feel like its horribly so. There are tons of clubs that offer the diversity that one would expect at such a large university.

The facilities on campus are great. The libraries are awesome, we have so many for all the different colleges. The union is great, the gyms are clean and have a wide variety of activities. The swimming pools are an added plus too! There are so many locations to dine on campus too that you can't go wrong!

Campus Life – Campus life at UF is amazing! There is always something to do for everyone! There are 600+ clubs to join, covering almost everyones interests. If you don't like what we have to offer, its really easy to start your own club. Additionally, as you know, when you come to UF you become part of the Gator Nation, and everyone is united by that.

Transportation for nightlife at UF is great. We have SNAP which is a transportation service that will pick you up anywhere on campus until 3 AM and take you back to your dorm. Also, they don't question the state of mind you're in. Additionally, there is the Later Gator which is a bus service that runs almost every night and goes all around town so you'll always have a ride on those late crazy nights.

Computer Labs – Computer labs on campus are very helpful and reliable. Some are open 24 hours, and you can almost always find a computer. If you can't find one, then you know one will open up very soon. However, it is very useful to have your own computer because you can save your work and always have it on you.

Fun Academic and Party School – The guys are usually the gyms rats, average guys, and oveweight. The girls range from 1 to 10. The good looking girls are usually taken by their first semester. The nightlife is wild if you know the right people

Go Gators – Our football team is the best. The school, the students, and the alumni all love gator football. Tailgating is a major event in Gainesville. In addition, other sports such as gymnastics, swimming, soccer, and baseball are well supported by students and faculty members.

Greeks Grab Attention – Passing through campus you will notice a lot of Fraternity and Sorority-related events. They do not encompass University as a whole, but I feel that greek life receives much attention; garnering the support of charity organizations, churches, and the school itself.

The computers at school are well-equipped with the latest software. There is a full-support staff ready to assist you in case you encounter any problems. Also, the computers in the computer labs are available to local patrons, not just students. The printing is designed for efficiency: you may either swipe your student id and recharge according to how often you use it, or have the printing charges added to you student account, in which case you pay the total at the end of the semester.
Sorry, there are no reviews.
