Unfortunately, there are not a lot of academic scholarships at UF for students. You really need to search for them. If you know where to look, you can get a good amount of money. The financial aid awarded through the government has always been reliable. I haven't had any problems receiving my financial aid.

There are so many public buses running throughout campus, that during the day, you can get anywhere you need on campus very quickly. The off campus buses are also very reliable. The best part is that the buses are free for UF students, so that adds to the convenience.

Every computer I have ever used on campus has been equipped with the latest software and has run fast and effectively. The computer lab in the Reitz lets you have 150 pages of free printing per semester, which is really helpful for class notes. The internet is always reliable, and is very fast.

UF does a great job supporting fitness throughout campus. Hosting many fitness classes such as yoga, zumba, kickboxing and the list goes on. With all of the oppurtunites the campus provides it hard for one to say they are not satisfied with their body.

Dining off campus can be a pain. Just depending on where one decides to eat timing and comfort may become an issue. Not all resurants have the best service.

The police at the school can be a little annoying. They will stop you for going 1mph over the speed limit. The constant UFPD alerts can get a little annoying also, but I believe that just to keep students up to date with the crime going on around them.

UF campus is simply amazing! Every resouce one could possibly dream of exsit on this campus with the exception of Coke products. Students and teachers are very welcoming. With many renovations being done to the school in places such as the Reitz, Broward Dining, Gator Corner, and the Murphee area its no wonder the Gator nation is the place to be.

It often time extremely hot, but we are in Florida and that is expected. I do not feel as though the weather hinders my performance in my classes.

A lot of free printing labs, free wi fi everywhere.

Bus is the best method to get to and from campus. Little parking. Shuttle so you don't have to walk alone at night.

Very strict on plagiarism and cheating. Lots of proctors at exams

The dining hall food itself is not the greatest, options around campus such as chick-fil-a, panda express, burger king, Moes, etc. are awesome

The town is centered around the University so its great.

I know from visiting my program has its own building and Im looking forward to taking classes.

I haven't started classes yet but what I have heard the University of Florida is a great school.

I didn't receive a lot of financial aid even though I need it very much much thats not what it says on the FASFA. So now I have to go else where that will increase my loans by a lot and I wish I didn't need to do that.

I haven't begun classes yet so I have no clue how parking is on campus.

Wildlife Ecology & Conservation has been nothing but interesting. The majority of the work is hands on, interactive, and conceptual, so you learn to really understand and predict conditions, facts, processes, etc. rather than merely know or memorize them. Being a specific field of study, no one in the department "fell into it," so you will find that everyone has a rowdy passion for the subject.

I have not run into a poor professor. They have all been welcoming, encouraging, and thoroughly knowledgeable. Most of them are disappointed when no one comes to office hours. I have had a few classes that were run primarily by the TAs; this was not a problem at all because the TAs were well selected and had been studying the topic of the class for ages, and if you really wanted to speak with the professor, he/she was still available.

Most of the computers on campus have been upgraded at UFL over the last couple of years.

As the flagship campus of the Florida system, there's more that UF could do to ensure a diverse student population and to make minoritized area studies feel integral to the university.
College Senior 2013-08-06T00:03:48Z
The bus system is pretty extensive, free for students, and fairly on time.
College Senior 2013-08-06T00:00:39Z
The notification system is confusing. When additional information is required, it is not always clear.
College Sophomore 2013-08-05T17:42:14Z
For students that live on or very close to campus the bus system is great. If you live further away from campus the busses aren't as frequent and fill up during the first few days. Parking is a pain for everybody. The SNAP system isn't very user friendly, especially if you don't have a smart phone. I don't know much about the ZIP cars but I've heard it's a nifty program. There are a few busses (non university affiliated) that run to Tampa and South East Florida for weekends. Don't try driving on game days!

The University Police are very on top of things and respond to necessary situations quickly that need to be attended to.
Sorry, there are no reviews.
