There are a good variety of houses on campus and they are fairly active on campus. There are the usual stereotypes on campus about those involved in greek affairs but overall most people dont look down on them.

Academics at UF is very important. Most students are very committed to maintaining high GPA's and you fill find that many students are serious about their decision to be at UF. Workload depends on your major, special study options are great-some really enriching study abroad experiences are offered as well. Popular study areas include Library West ("Club West") and Plaza of the America's.

Parking is pretty much horrible at UF. It is very rare to find a good parking spot and you will usually not get one close to your dorm-which sometimes is hard at night.

Health & Safety:
I feel safe at UF but just like any place in the world-it isn't smart to walk anywhere alone at night. We have a great system called SNAP that works like a free taxi to students from the hours of 6-3AM.

Being a music major at UF is very gratifying. The work load is not light and teachers aren't easy on their students but it is one of the most thorough and fulfilling majors I believe at UF. The people and professors are wonderful. One particular thing about the professors that I love is their willingness to help. They are genuinely concerned about their students and helping us succeed in our classes. There are plenty of job opportunities that are offered to us, which is very helpful.

It really depends on which classes you take honestly. They all tell you to come to class, but it's your responsibility. No one is going to force yo to come. If you want to fail, go ahead and fail. It's your money to waste. But some classes try to get you to come by taking attendance or unannounced pop quizzes, but I only see that in the upper level classes

I'd say UF is a very accepting school in regards to diversity, economic backgrounds, religion, and sexual orientation, and I believe UF is a fairly diverse school! Everyone I've meet are extremely nice! And I meet a lot of people hear by going to the soccer fields and just jumping into different pick-up games of whichever sport I see, whether it is frisbee or soccer! Soccer I see has the most diverse group of people that I have ever seen play a sport together, and we all get along just fine.

Public transportation is pretty simple, you can look up bus routes online or through an app on your smart phone to track where the busses are. Many students that live on campus find it easiest to take the bus to get to main stores like Publix or Target instead of having to move their cars and not having a parking spot when they return. Busses are free with your student ID, so it really is an easy way to get around. Also, you will find that many students that live off campus leave their cars at their apartments and drive scooters to campus. Scooter parking is vast and easily accessible. Most classes are a 2-5 minute walk from parking. Scooters are always seen around campus, almost more than cars are, and are a very easy way of transportation around campus and to surrounding areas.

Guys & Girls:
UF has a very diverse student population, but they all have one thing in common: they were all smart enough to be accepted. Most students lead an active lifestyle so they are fit and interested in staying healthy. In the looks department, I would say about half of the student population is average looking, and the rest lie somewhere higher or lower than that. It is not hard to find an attractive peer in class or walking around. Socially, we all work hard to maintain our grades, but we play even harder than we work. You will not be without entertainment on the weekends and most week days unless you do not put yourself out there.

We have a really great Career Resource Center that helps a lot in getting people jobs after they graduate and you can use it up to two years after you've left UF. Also, research here is top notch.

It's alright. The dining halls aren't so great but I don't have a meal plan so I don't go there enough to really know. On campus markets have good food but expensive.

It's the University of Florida, we're the Gators, you know the drill.

The older part of the school is absolutely beautiful, but I wish the rest of the school were more like it. Overall its a very "Florida" feel. I like it mostly, although some buildings are just really ugly.

Getting into OT school was hard, it is competitive and they only accept 20 students. The good news is they don't seem to stress GRE scores much. Just get the minimum requirement.

Computers are a mix of macs and PCs and they work well. There are many labs across campus in different libraries and resource centers.

I love being an occupational therapy student in the Health professions college because classes are small and the professors care about you.

As a graduate student, you have many opportunities for research and adding to your education.

The workload typically depends on the major you choose. Architecture majors get very little sleep but some majors are quite easy. The professors are all very knowledgeable in their field and there are a lot of study abroad programs

The athletics at UF are amazing. The football stadium, for example, was designed to echo the fan's cheer and intimidate the other team. Participation in sports such as football, baseball, soccer, basketball and volleyball is heavily encouraged. Students take pride in being gators as they spectate the games.

Life on campus lets you adapt to the college life more easily. The best part about it is the fact that it lets you socialize with other students an being only a few steps away from classes. The worse part is having to share a room with a stranger. However, the cost is reasonable and IRHA sponsors a lot of events throughout the year to make the experience fun.

The parking is conveniently located near classes. However, finding parking can be very stressful. I suggest you walk, bike, take the bus or call SNAP to get to class. Most classes are located around the same area so transporting yourself around campus is not difficult without a car. Decals are moderately expensive but I recommend it if you insist on driving. The parking laws and rules are heavily enforced so to avoid getting $100 tickets, just follow them.

During the summer it rains a lot here in the swamp. This makes it difficult to get up and get to classes, especially when you have to walk and risk your books getting wet. However, most days are typical warm and sunny Florida weather. Overall, the weather is inviting, not only to attend class but also to join clubs and sports after school.

Greek life is not very good. Sometime, students came together to drink more. I don't like this.

Guys & Girls:
You'll find all sorts of guys who are always hard-working. Every guy has their own study and play plan. Everyone is trying hard to make time to learn which leads to a very good learning atmosphere in our school. Students like participate in activities very much. For example, there always were much more students who love join in the activities on every Friday in Retiz Union.

UF is very strict about cheating. If you are caught for plagiarism or for cheating on an exam there is a good chance you will be kicked out of school. UF is also not very flexible when it come to exam dates. Professors have a no-excuse policy. It can be difficult to get make-up exams.
Sorry, there are no reviews.
