Pretty Great

They did a pretty good job of giving me financial aid and avoiding loans. Advisers told me that they would be the least helpful in the financial area of my schooling, but they offered the most aid out of any school I applied to.

It's There If You Look

UF doesn't really go out of its way to tell you about scholarships. If you really want to get one, you have to look but I'm sure they're out there.

Advice on Financial Aid

Students should apply for FAFSA before the deadline. At UF, financial aid is determined by need according to your household's annual income or any substantial circumstances that would affect your education. Apply early for financial aid so the office has time to look over all of your documents. Also, do not just apply for FAFSA. Search scholarships when you have free time. Instead of going on Facebook for three hours, check out www.fastweb.com, www.scholarships.com, or even College Prowler; these sites have every scholarship you can possibly think of, but it is up to you to apply.
