It can be strict, but we are all adults and I think the school does a great job of handling that

Athens looks great in each season. Although I hate the rainy days with a passion, it's perfect for staying home and getting that much needed studying done.

I love having the almost all night bus service and I'm very grateful for it as well. Although I do think that the drivers could be a bit more considerate.

The process was fairly simple and I received the money quickly after applying.

There are many diversities on our campus.

I'm not really a fan of Uga food, which is really dissapointing. It's just really bland
College Freshman 2013-11-29T22:57:03Z
I love living on campus, I'm close to downtown, the student center, and most of my classes.
College Freshman 2013-11-29T22:55:56Z
There is always much to choose from around downtown Athens. plus, all the restaurants vary! There is a restaurant for each taste.

We have an abundance of clubs , organizations, lectures, seminars that fit all personalities!

Most of the students like to party downtown.

Downtown Athens is always a fun place to be. There is always something going on.

I have not had the need to use computers on campus. There are some assignments due online so a personal laptop is helpful.

Signing up for a parking permit was difficult and I think it is too expensive.

Advisors told me that I could get a Bachelor's in nursing at the University of Georgia and retain residency in Athens, Georgia. After talking with my appointed advisor, she informed me that I could not in fact stay in Athens to complete my degree. I am not sure if I would choose the University of Georgia if I could do it again.

I love my school. There is a great sense of pride through the traditions of attending football games, ringing the chapel bell, and jumping in the fountain. Although it's a large school, I can easily feel and build a sense of community among my peers.
College Junior 2013-11-28T22:26:25Z
Before the start of freshman year, all freshman are required to take an alcohol and drug safety course. I think this informs students of the dangers alcohol and drugs have and helps them make wiser decisions. I know many people who don't drink and can still have a great time.

I would bring my personal computer for convenience sake. Sometimes it is easier to use the computer while you are at a dining hall or in class rather than waiting until you are at the student center.

The basic policy is if you aren't bothering anyone then no one will bother you.

The IFC and Panhellenic fraternities and sororities can be typically found in the antebellum southern mansions lining greek row. However, our school also has multicultural and historically african american fraternities and sororities. If you aren't Greek, you typically aren't viewed any differently. Our school has a lot of organizations students can join to build a sense of community.

A majority of the time, the weather is very nice. Since the school is in the south, the winters are not grueling although towards the beginning of the fall semester and end of the spring semester, it can get pretty hot.
Sorry, there are no reviews.
