Health & Safety:
Safe During the Day – During the day I feel completely safe because there are a lot of people around me all the time. After dark, I suggest walking in groups of people whether that is with friends or making sure there are plenty of people around. It is a large campus, and it is good to take precautions.

Dorms With Suits – I lived in one of the dorms with rooms adjoined by the bathroom. This allowed me to get to know two other people at the least on my hall. I enjoyed living in the dorms because it did give me that dorm experience. I recommend getting involved in the events your dorm offers so you may get to know other people within you dorm. The hall I was on was not very social, but I know there were other halls that did a lot of things together.

Rains Sometimes – When it rains it gets nasty because you are walking around outside, but they have the bus system that you can ride. The bus cuts down on the amount of time you spend outside and with good rain gear the rain is not that bad if you walk.

There are literally hundreds of majors, minors, certificates and other things you can do at UGA. The majors are so perfect for each student and changing your major is easy and advisors will help make sure you can still graduate in 4 years despite changing your major!

Guys & Girls:
Looks Aren't All That Matter – The kids at UGA have such great personalities and are so diverse that looks become another plus but not the whole deal.

Sports at UGA are a huge deal. The facilities are great and games at Sanford Stadium are a blast. Go DAWGS!

The average rate of change in major at UGA is 3 times. I like to think that's because students are not sure what to pick from the over 200 programs. Across the board, UGA has quality programs and professors, so if you are a little noncommittal, you're still sure to get a wonderful education.

Greatest 4 Years of My Life – From a variety of student organizations to class offerings, the University of Georgia has something for everyone. It's a place where students of all kinds can thrive regardless of the enrollment. Games between the hedges and dining downtown are some of my favorite memories. Be sure to utilize all the services they have to offer like studying abroad.

A lot of the dorms need updating but if you can get into one of the nicer ones than you are good to go.

Great Option – Buses run daily and into the evening. The routes are not hard to figure out and are easily detailed through campus bus stops. Also, students receive free services through the city transit.

There are many different options for off campus housing at UGA. From inexpensive to more upscale, the variety is great! Whether you want to live close to campus or far away, you have a great selection.

Great Options! There are plenty of communities near campus for renting apartments. They have ok rents, friendly landlords, and everything that you need to live comfortably.

Freshman Dorms – Freshman dormitories are awful. They are very crowded, and thus noisy and distracting. Also great places for spreading plague.

Something Going on All the Time – Downtown is always crazy...not hard to get into the bars, although they are 21+ (with the exception of Bad Manor, but only out of town 18 year olds go there)...but it's not hard to find something to get you in the bars. A really short walk from the dorms, but make sure you walk back with people. If you don't feel like walking, Designated Dawgs usually runs on busy evenings, and the cabs are super cheap!
There's a bar for every scene, and there are always music shows going on!

All Over the Place – It'll be raining one day and 10000 degrees the next...Always make sure you have a small umbrella in your backpack, and DEFINITELY invest in a rainjacket and rain boots!

Never Leaving! I loved UGA. I was a little iffy during my first few months, but now that I'm about to graduate, I can't imagine ever hating it. If you were to look for a college that had it all, UGA would be it!

Guys & Girls:
there's a definite mix of types at UGA, so there's something for everyone! Tons of hipsters, athletes, and southerners

Eat, Sleep, and Breath It – Every major sport on campus is treated with great seriousness. Athletes are given almost everything in exchange for really having no other life other than friends, class, and the sport they are playing. Athletics is a religion at UGA.

It Has Its Ups and Downs – UGA is great for the sight of being a student there. Campus is easily spread out and make focusing on your classes easy. However, administrative debacles and payments follow you all the time. Money wise, it is very easy to be exploited by the university. Nonetheless, giving payments is a personal choice, they don't force you to pay everything just sometimes there is no other choice. It's a quintessential public university.

I Love It Here! UGA is the place to be and the place for me. I would highly recommend UGA to any and everyone because they cater to your needs and has a very diverse campus for all ethnic backgrounds. The academics from UGA is very dependable and the teachers are at your disposal. Alongside the academics, the party life here is the best.

Football on UGA campus is just like the president came to town. Every game is packed and we have very dedicated bulldog fans. When there's a football game, you'll see everyone dressed up in their red and or black dresses, khakis, and UGA dress shirts and ties. Football is a big party on Saturdays.!

It definitely rains a lot on campus. I learned that in my first year of school. I finally bought rain boots. The basic problem was solved. However, also invest in a good rain jacket. Even though it may rain one day in Atlanta; it will probably rain most of the week in Athens, so be prepared.
