There is parking available everywhere on campus, but none of its free unless you are parking after hours. If you live on campus, your chances of getting a parking space is extremely low and the cost of a parking space is fairly expensive

Apartments off campus is a very popular housing selection at UGA. The prices are average but there are many different types of off campus housing to choose from. Location wise, there are apartments close to and a little farther off from campus, but most can be reached by bus from campus.

The atmosphere is very friendly and there are a lot of activities that are available to all students. Athens is a little farther away from a bustling city life, but the large university of georgia campus makes up for the lack of people.

Not Happy – The only reason that I am not happy with my International Affairs program is because it is extremely difficult to register for the classes you want. Because there is such a limited amount of IA teachers, students are forced to take classes that are particularly unfavorable. If I could do it all over again, there is no chance that I would change my major to IA from Biology. My primary career goal is to work for the Defense Intelligence Agency or The United Nations. My main concern is that both of these careers are very competitive and my school and advisors are not good at providing assistance.

The University of Georgia has a bus line of about 50 buses that run every few minutes. Students can also use their student id to ride Athens Public Transit buses for free, which will take you all around the city.

East Campus Village Is Amazing – Living on campus is a wonderful experience, in that it gives students the opportunity to remain connected to the other members of the student body with ease. Resident Assistants and Class Advocates assist students in making an easy transition into college life. The freshmen high-rise dorms are pretty tiny and the community bathrooms are beyond unfavorable. However, the janitorial staff keeps them extremely clean. East Campus Village, which houses primarily upperclassmen and athletes, is amazing. It is composed of several buildings with apartment-style rooms. The best thing about living on campus is the awesome programs UGA Housing executes in each and every dorm throughout campus.

We have 2 bus systems: The UGA transit, and the Athens-Clarke County transit. Both are very convenient and free for students.

Party School – There are many parties on any night of the week. The downtown area is full of bars, so there are many inebriated students around campus, especially on the weekends.

We have so many options available to us everyday. I never get tired of the food. We even have a 24 hour dining hall! All 4 of our dining halls are excellent.

Labs Are Always Available – THere are computer labs in most of the dormitories. There are also labs in most of the buildings. The labs are available during the day and the ones in the dorms are available 24 hours. The wireless network is great. You can connect in any building on campus. Printing is available in all of the labs and there is also a printing lab.

The Great Life in Athens – There are many restaurants and attractions. The University of Georgia is a very student oriented place. There are always clubs and organizations to join and get involved in. The downtown scene is wonderful. Many restaurants are available to eat at. There are bars and clubs to go to if you enjoy them. There is a botanical garden close by. There are also many cool scenes to take pictures and enjoy the scenery.

Guys & Girls:
SEC Girls Are the Best – I would not change anything about our female or male populations. I get along with the guys and the girls are beautiful. Regardless of your type, SEC girls are one of a kind.

Very Diverse – There are many religions and races on Campus and while some races have their own specific groups or Greek organizations there is no racial tension.

Perfect for Freshman – Incoming Freshman get the opportunity to met a vast amount of people through living in such a populated dorm setting. Convenience, social atmosphere and ease are top notch. Cost advantages include close proximity to classes so transportation is basically free plus utilities, cable and internet are included in room and board. Most freshman do not bring their car first year so dorms are perfect for them. Best option is East campus village which are apartment style, with worse being one of the older dorms where you must share a limited living space. It is my understanding that most upperclassmen prefer living off campus in their own space usually with friends they meet in the dorms.

The weather is great. For the most part it's always sunny and pleasant. Winters can be kind of rough if you're mostly used to 90 degree weather. We get snow and the wind will freeze. I suggest you invest in a winter coat :) Summer and Spring are gorgeous. My favorite season to be on campus is fall. The trees are changing and the atmosphere brings out a certain pleasantry among students and faculty alike. It rains often but you can beat it with rain boots and an umbrella-we tend to start our own fashion with rain boots :)

FOOD FOOD AND MORE FOOD – On campus there are 4 dining halls and there are 3 commons areas that include a variety of places, such as Chik-Fil-A, Barberittos, Hibatchi Grille, a pizzaria, a steak house, place to get subs and a lounge. The best dining hall to eat at is either Snelling Dining hall or Joe Frank Commons in the Village Summit. Prices vary it just depends on whether or not you are on the meal plan. Meal plans can be used at all the dining halls but cannot be used in the commons areas. Each dining hall offers a variety of food and the menus alternate from the different dining halls. They DO NOT serve the same things. You will enjoy every meal on campus. And in the words of all UGA students "LET THE BIG DAWGS EAT!"

The school could provide better services for matching students with internships. Kids who are involved in Greek Life and popular sports like Football are prioritized before other students.

Guys & Girls:
Girls Are Snobs – Girls look like they could be on the Jersey Shore. They are super tan and superficial. They are all cheerleaders and look like barbie dolls. They are super fake and annoying.

Your Mileage May Vary – UGA is crazy about diversity; it's one thing they really strive for. They're always saying they need more diversity, but I see a lot of different kinds of people around - different ethnicities, different backgrounds, people with disabilities, people who speak multiple languages. I'm friends with all kinds of folks. Even so, most of us are still plain old white people. But in my experience, even the white people are diverse.

My Neighbors Are Loud – It depends on where you live. The nicest apartments are really expensive, but even some of the cheapest ones aren't too bad and the one I live in is on a decent bus route. Whether you hear people partying at all hours of the night also depends on where you live. Be careful before signing a lease.

5 Star Dining – UGA Food Services has won all kinds of awards, and it shows in their food. It's usually fantastic, a buffet with tons of selections. Cons are that it's expensive and you can't take anything out of the dining hall, but it's so worth it for the food.

North Campus borders the downtown area of Athens. Six square blocks of bars, clubs, restaurants, music venues, shops, and offices. Nightlife is fantastic for the college student, as there is something to do every single night. Drawbacks are Nazi meter maids and a city government which makes a huge percentage of their revenue from DUI arrests.

Athens, GA – Fantastic Southern College town of about 100K population. The town is centered around the University and its activities. Game days are phenomenal for the football fan. Music scene is still thriving and performing arts are readily available. College kids love the downtown nightlife and bars. Affordable housing. Drawbacks are overzealous, heavy police presence and bureaucratic nightmare anytime dealing with city/county.
