At the University of Georgia, students have a lot of options to choose from when it comes to food. Costs and student discounts make it easy to eat what you want!

Only having been on campus twice for visits, I was very impressed with the school. I hope to attend UGA after graduation.

The Perfect Campus – After visiting the campus during a summer music camp, I instantly fell in love with the atmosphere and social life of UGA.

It is very hard to get a permit on campus. Undergraduate commuters are ranked at the bottom on the availability list to get parking

By Non-Greeks – The Greek life community here is huge. As a non-greek member though, I feel many of them tend to be spoiled ritzy people who lack common decency.

Health & Safety:
Police and Safety Services – Generally campus is pretty safe. Nevertheless, you have to be careful walking around at night

While the classes aren't easy, alot of them aren't that hard and don't have that much work. Although there are always classes like accounting and chemistry where you have lots of work

The dorms are alot of fun and while they seem small at first you quickly get used to the size, and you have so much fun meeting people! i'm gonna be sad to leave the dorms!

I haven't lived off-campus, but some of my friends have and they love it.

We have computer labs on every floor of dorms. Printing on campus is very easy and reasonably priced. We have wireless access in most areas on campus. Most of the dorms have wireless access.

Chemistry/Pre Pharmacy – I am in the Franklin College of Arts & Sciences. My major is Chemistry/Pre Pharmacy. Although the curriculum and workload is challenging, there are many resources for assistance and tutoring. Networking is a little harder than I expected because teaching assistants are usually the ones teaching the classes. The campus is great and there are lots of job opportunities on campus.

Between the University Bus System and the Athens Transit system, getting around campus and to the surrounding area is pretty easy. UGA buses are free, and Athens Transit busses are free for students and cheap for everyone else. UGA buses run every 10 minutes or so, and the Athens transit buses are a little farther apart. It will take a little planning, but once you have the schedule figured out, you should be able to get around campus or to the apartments, or even the walmart successfully!

Don't Break the Rules and You'll Coast Through – Police are pretty strict at UGA, if you're caught breaking the rules. If you're underage in a dorm, the chances of you getting caught are higher than if you live off campus. If you're caught drunk underage downtown, you'll be arrested. It's a dose of the real life that students need to get in order to gain responsibility for the future. The police are not, however, out to get you, they just want you to be safe and follow the rules, so you won't disturb anyone else.

With four dining halls spread across campus, the availability and quality of food is amazing. Dining Halls are open from 7am to 9 pm with the exception of one that is open 24 hours. Each hall offers a different "specialty," though the food at all is superb. The dining halls are award winning, and the staff is super friendly and diligent on keeping the food fresh and the rooms clean. A student on meal plan enjoys access to any dining hall at any time Monday-Friday, or Monday-Sunday depending on the plan. The student is not limited to only having three meals a day- you can go four or five times a day, to snack, eat full meals, or just grab some ice-cream while studying. You can't get much better than this.
