Campus Tours

The Visitors Center conducts campus tours every day of the week, with three tours each weekday, two on Saturday, and one on Sunday. Each tour begins on a mini-bus and participants will receive an hour-long driving and walking tour of campus. Reservations are a must as space is limited on the bus. Weekends, teacher workdays, and spring-break dates fill up fast. A self-guided tour offers the same tour route used on student-led tours. You can stop by the Visitors Center and pick up a copy. The Visitors Center also provides a 30-minute audio tour of North Campus. Cassettes and walkmans can be checked out at the Visitors Center. The Visitors Center offers special tours for various groups including school groups, campus groups, and alumni and community groups. Special tours can be scheduled by calling the Visitors Center manager. For any visitor information or to make reservations, call (706) 542-0842.

Overnight Visits

There are dozens of hotels in Athens for visitors. The nicest ones are in the Downtown area. Also, if you have a friend already living on campus, many dorms have 24-hour visitation.
