UOG's campus dining is okay but I honestly think they should have more menus for students to choose. The value for each meal should also be lower because of the fact that some students wont be able to afford it. Aside from their menus and the value of their good I would say Campus dinning isn't that bad.

We have a school cafeteria which only opens from 7am to 3pm. It is so bad that we don't have a 24-hour or night time dining options that will allow the students dine out during the night. The cost of meals is also expensive for the students.

The athletics at school is not so popular. Although at times flyers are posted for games announcement, only a few participate in the games activities. It's a huge part of campus life.

There is no such thing as party life at school. The student body is so weak that they don't do activities for the school such as night parties on campus.

I just completed my internship few months ago. I loved my internship because it opened me up to the real world. It will help me prepare for my future career.

Declaring your major is a very important thing to do at school. Once you declared your major, you are actually working towards something. As for my major, I enjoyed it so much. Although the courses are hard, I still enjoy learning more. I know it is a limited field so I may be able to easily find a job in the future.

Although I received my financial aid I needed, it took a while to receive. It takes a lot of time for the processing at the Financial Aid Office as well as the Business Office. It is annoying especially when the Business Office had to hold back our scholarship checks for 15 working days for processing.

There is no such thing as students discounts at the nearby off-campus dining options. They also have costly prices for their meals.

I would still select this school because I have no other choice. This school is close to my country and so that is why I chose to transfer to this school. The flight cost is not much comparing to going to states for an higher education.

The town that our school is located is peaceful. We have small convenient stores but still students need to get around to big stores to buy their necessities. We don't have malls nearby that will satisfy the needs of the students and the ones living on campus.

There is a need of campus shuttles. Students really need transportation to and from school. With those that are living in the dorms, it's very hard to get their necessities because they have no way of going to the stores.

The weather does not really affect our campus because we have new buildings and our buildings are safe. We also have window shutters that keeps us safe.

The school never helps student to find off-campus housing. Therefore, it is one of the hardest things for students to look for when trying to find one. Most of the available houses are costly for students to afford. The houses are not really close to the school so when it rains it gives students problem to find ways to reach the school.

Alcohol is barely noticeable on school. However, smoking is somewhat noticeable one on campus. Some students used to smoke in areas where there's a sign of "no smoking". Although our school campus is a drug free zone, we still see some students smoking on campus.

The academics at my school are good. The registration process makes it easier for students to register for classes. The school created an online system called WebAdvisor in which students just officially registered for their classes online. They do not necessarily need to go to the Admissions and Records Office and stand in line to register.

Accounting majors are unique at the University of Guam. We are the only major in Business Administration in which it's not a concentration. We have effective internship opportunities and also we have a club that open us up to the accounting firms and employers. Our advisors are helpful when we need help. Accounting is one of the tough majors on campus. In two straight years, UOG Accounting students won the National Association of Government Accountants Government Finance Case Challenge held in Washington, D.C.

I only stayed in the dorms for one semester and I guess it was okay. Not bad for a small island like ours. There was not much of social activities that would let the residents get to know each other well. The RA's are sometimes strict and not helping the residents when needed. The rooms were okay but the kitchen just needs improvement. They need to build a bigger kitchen that would allow all the students to cook all at once. It's too small and uncomfortable for everyone to be sharing it especially with only refrigerator and freezer for about 30 students to share.

Guys & Girls:
The girls and boys on campus are very concern about their looks on campus. Every girl I see on campus always have to have make ups on their faces or body. Girls love to wear short shorts or skirts. Some wear skinny jeans and tight tops. Similar to the guys, they are always up to date on their styles. They wear tight shirts with long pants or jeans. As for the business major students, they always wear business attire to school. Girls would wear professional outfit like slacks and business suit. As for the guys, they would wear khaki slacks and collared shirt or long sleeves.

Health & Safety:
Our campus is not that big comparing to the colleges or universities in the other states. It is a small, beautiful and safe place to be. There is not much of campus crimes that happens. The security guards are always patrolling around the campus every hour so the safety of the students are well taken care of. Although they may be strict sometimes, that is just part of their jobs. They offer hands to students when they need help. For example, when a student has a flat tire, they offer hands to help. They are very helpful and the students feel safe when they are on campus.

I am very happy with my major in business but my only concern is tuition. coming from a poor family where only my father is our supporter I am struggling financially but I am still trying hard in school. I plan to use the skills i will Aguirre from this program to open up my own business and help my struggling family and take that weight off of my father.

As a business major I have not had any intern because I am still freshman. However I am planning on entering an internship because it will truly prepare me for when i graduate. I do not have concern of finding an internship because the people in the business division are very helpful in helping students find interns. I have been a volunteer at the financial office thus i understand what it is like to be an intern.

my major is business and it is the best. The professors and advisers are helpful in making sure that every student graduate on time and have a job offer right out of college. i am satisfied with this major because the internships offer are very necessary and it will help me when i graduate and step into reality.

Guys & Girls:
Regarding ethnicities for boys and girls, half would be asian and the other half micronesian. Very few are from the stateside, and fewer (if any) are international. What I notice is trending among the guys is tattooing one arm or one shoulder, or one leg. The girls have it on their wrists, upper backs, and/or lower backs. Most students don the island look and wear slippers, shorts, tank tops, etc. For the girls, most wear either jeans or shorts, while the rest wear skirts or dresses.

There are several restaurants near UOG. Most of them are asian, but if you venture downtown (which is not too far considering Guam's size) a student would come across steaks, mexican foods, brazilian, etc. What I haven't heard of are student discounts, but if a student is part of the Paradise Fitness program then discounts would be available almost anywhere.

Our campus police is strict but I know their just doing their job.
Sorry, there are no reviews.
