Different students will have different opinions about their experience at the University of Hartford. Some will say they hate, and some will say they love it, but the overall experience is really what you make it. In general, it seems like students who are involved on campus are more likely to have a better overall experience than those who are not. Participating in activities and keeping busy on campus means you will meet more people and share enjoyable times with them. You will likely have the strongest bonds with people you meet in clubs and organizations, but students in the same major are bound to have almost every class together, and friendship will form from that, as well. Suitemates and roommates also become great friends while at the University.
At times, living on campus can become boring and mundane because of the repetitiveness of everything from classes to meals, but with the right group of friends and a good spirit, boring can equal exciting! In fact, after they graduate, many Hartford students stay for the master’s programs offered here, which can only lead to the assumption that students have a generally good experience or else they would not want to stay here any longer. Due to the University’s location, there is not often much to do, especially if you don’t have a car and are "stuck" on campus, but groups of friends usually get together and make the most of their experience. Whether it is hanging out in their dorm rooms playing video games or playing basketball in the gym, they make the best of their time here.
