Illinois Is Broke

If you're an in-state student, the cost of tuition is reasonable in comparison to other universities for a competitive level of education (dependent on the major). Though you're usually able to get financial aid, Illinois tends not to offer many scholarships or grants.

Financial Aid/Scholarships Suck!

Financial aid was tough for me, and the people who work in the financial aid office are very rude and far from helpful. Also, scholarships are hard to find.
