The professors are great, easy to get along with, and actually care. Many have open door policies. Many places to study and get help.

Many ways to make friends and get involved on campus.
College Freshman 2013-11-21T23:05:34Z
no parties on campus.

A lot of different cultures. Celebration of other cultures.

We do not have Greek life at our school.

The dorms are great, all of them have decent amount of room for a dorm and are pretty well kept. I loved living on campus my freshman year, other than the fact that the RA's are very annoying about the rules.

There are definitely house parties available you just have to know where to find them. The bar/club scene is excellent since we are so closely located to downtown Indy.

It is not noticeable. If the students are doing drugs, I do not know about it.
College Student 2013-09-28T17:31:43Z
The campus is easily accessible to just about anywhere.

I commute so I always drive. I do not live on campus. For the students who do live on campus it is small enough to get around on foot.

I received financial aid but now that I am seeking my second bachelors degree and am unsure about financial aid. I will be looking into it further. My loans are already very high!

Something that sets UIndy apart from other schools is the science programs and also the cafeteria. The science programs like Biology and Chemistry have GREAT programs and the class sizes are really small which is vey hepful. Th cafeteria is also really good. The food is amazing.

It can be really hard to find a parking space in the lot that you need to be in. This being said, there is a lot of parking lots spaced around campus.

I think that the athletics at UIndy are awesome. They are very big and people get very into the spirit. The facilities are really nice, especially in the dome and the new wieght rooms. Also, the IM sports are really big and people love to join in and participate.

I am in the Occupational Therapy major. I love me classes. The curriculum is great.

Indiana weather varies greatly. No matter what it's like outside, there is always something to do.

Health & Safety:
While the area around the University of Indianapolis is not the greatest, I have always felt safe on campus. The few times I have felt suspicious about certain people (particularly at night), I have called campus police and they have escorted me across campus. There are call lights at several locations & parking lots that contact the police directly. We also have something called "watch dog". This is where they can send weather and safety alerts to our phones and emails. Also, last year, after a series of break ins during a break, they increased security by changing and adding new locks to all the residence halls and even hired security guards to make rounds around campus at night. Very safe environment!!

University of Indianapolis's student facilities are great and improving. Since I have started attending, I've seen great changes that have made student life better. They have added more exercise equipment and spaces, they have extended dining hours, and they have really gone all out for major sporting events. Last semester, we had 2 or 3 different pep rallies with free food, guest speakers (the mayor!), and large decorated "parties". There are so many other campus traditions that make UIndy what it is. Welcome week for freshmen, the student life expo, and a movie projected on the lawn the night before classes start always make the first week back especially enjoyable.

First, I would give the university a B on variety of major options. I would not necessarily suggest the university to a student who was very undecided because unlike a big public university, U of I does not have a very wide variety of majors and minors. They have really great programs in Occupational Therapy, Physical Therapy, Nursing, Athletic Training, and Psychology. They have wonderful programs in the majors they offer.
I have not had an internship, but I do plan to have one or two before I graduate. I think that real life experience in your future field of work is extremely beneficial. I know that the university can get an internship for as little as 3 hours a week up to however many hours you would like. The career services center is a really big help in finding an internship that matches exactly what you're looking for.

Parking is free. There are designated lots for residents, commuters, and faculty, which is nice. The ease of finding a spot can be very inconvenient. They could use a couple more parking lots.

Going to a small college is the best choice I could've ever made. It's so much stuff to do on campus and the facility is really the best. They are really there to be on your butt and make sure you succeed. Student center is the one place I feel you can make the most friends. There is not a time where you can not find at least one person in the student center. The best part about my campus is that you can reach any part of the campus waking in less that 7 minutes.

Well, I go to a dry campus, so there is no drinking or drugs regardless of age. Campus police can be really hard on people that they find intoxicated. As far as life on campus, as long as you do not drive, they do not bother you or talk to you as much.
College Sophomore 2013-08-06T14:57:56Z
There is not much nightlife and parties at the school I attend, but there is a college down the road that have all the parties that you would ever want to go to. My college may not have Greek life, but the Greeks that attend my college have plenty of parties off-campus.
College Sophomore 2013-08-06T14:48:04Z
Most of my tuition is paid through my financial aid. The process for financial aid may be long. Because I did not work my freshman year, I had to fill out extra paperwork with my school about taxes. After that, everything was a smooth ride.
Sorry, there are no reviews.
