Dorm food can be hit or miss, but students sometimes say they miss the convenience of dorm cafeteria food once they move out and are responsible for cooking their own food. The most popular dorm cafeteria is definitely Mrs. E’s in Lewis Hall, and it's available to anyone with a meal plan. E’s offers a great view of campus and usually has a variety of food and dessert options. The Studio in Hashinger Hall is a popular spot to grab a bite with friends or get one of the to-go sack lunches.

There are a variety of food options available in the dorms and even more options at other locations around campus. The Union and the Underground are the most popular eating destinations on campus, offering sandwiches, pizza, fast food, salads, and even sushi. The Union is a good place to do homework when finishing up lunch because there is a lot of seating available. There is something for everyone on campus, whether you are looking for junk food or healthier options. The prices can be high and places on campus can get really crowded during peak lunch hours, but the convenience can’t be beat.

Good Variety

Campus food is pretty good. The main eating establishment on campus besides the dining halls is the Underground which features a variety of different foods from Pizza Hut to sushi! It definitely has something for everyone and the other eating establishments at KU also have good variety so you never get tired of eating on campus.

Not Bad, Not Great

I am a very picky eater. that being said, take my opinion lightly. I am also a vegetarian and they do have some options for me. Mrs. E's is a bit lacking in verity and quality. the studio is good most of the time. the market and the underground are the best but you will be paying for it. My advice?...When in doubt get the hummus.

Dining at KU

OVERPRICED! But that is common on campuses. A smoothie is $5! It's ridiculous. We have one main dining hall because most student live off campus. Mrs. E's is decent, their desserts are good. It's not organic or super healthy though. We have a Chik-fil-A and Pizza Hut stations.
