If you don't care for the food that's available on campus, have no fear—there are literally thousands of restaurants in the Louisville area to choose from. However, whether or not these restaurants are affordable and convenient is another story. Sure, Louisville has more than its share of McDonald's and other fast food joints, but who wants to eat that every day? If you're looking for healthy options, your best bet is to find a grocery store nearby. Kroger, right down the street from campus, is the closest and therefore probably the most convenient choice for students who want to shop for their own food. However, it can be relatively expensive.

If you like adventurous dining experiences, you should be more than satisfied with Louisville's options. There are hundreds of restaurants that specialize in a variety of different ethnic foods, from Japanese to Indian to Mexican and more. Being that Louisville is also a city that loves its sports, there are also many sports bars and grills in the area. Beef ‘O’Brady's is popular, as well as Buffalo Wild Wings. If you just like good old American cuisine, places like Steak 'n Shake and Denny's will give you just what you're looking for. Some places will feed you for less than $5, but there are also places with dress codes and prices to match. Overall, Louisville has more than enough restaurants to choose from, you just have to find the place that is right for you and your budget.
