I don't know much about the diversity. But it seems good!

Health & Safety:
I don't know anything about the health care. I've never been. There are no dorms on campus.

Never have had trouble finding a parking spot before. I always manage to find a close spot.

Never had an internship before.

Haven't had much experience with the computers at school but the Macs seem great.

Weather is fine here. It's Maine, so it's a lot of winter but nothing a Mainer can't handle. Not too many snow days or anything

Sometimes can be tight but everyone seems to find a spot.

Bangor is a fantastic location for a college. There are so many places to visit in Maine, especially for the outdoorsy types-Baxter State Park, Bar Harbor,Gulf Hagas in the old Katahdin Ironworks-many waterfalls, but a strenuous hike! I loved it!! We have the Bangor Waterfront on the Penobscot river, which is an outdoor concert venue as well.

Talk to Marty Kelley--alot if you have to. She works at the Orono campus, but is very helpful and holds financial aid work shops frequently. She found errors on my FAFSA, and therefore found more aid for me.

I will be attending the Bangor Campus at UMA--from what i have seen so far, I feel perfectly safe on campus

There isn't to many people associated with drugs at our small University of Maine at Augusta campus. Especially in comparison to some of the larger Universities schools. Choosing your friends is crucial if you want to avoid drugs and peer pressure with drug users.

Our public transportation system is pretty fair. The students at any University of Maine system are offered free bus transportation and the bus schedule runs at convenient times

The minority rate at UMA isn't strong. I am one of the few African Americans who attend University of Maine at Augusta. I feel as though however this is improving with time.
Sexual orientation is also evolving through time at UMA. People are beginning to feel more comfortable with being open about their sexuality. I am also one of the many lesbian minorities who attend UMA.

I received an average amount for my financial aid. It was fairly simple but I strongly suggest completing your student FASFA a couple months before the semester starts!

The University of Maine at Augusta has wonderful facilities. The restrooms are spacious and clean the classrooms small enough to have good conversation yet not too small to fit a larger class. The campus has no library or gym but has a good computer lab that can be used at almost anytime of the day.

I am studying at the University of Maine at Augusta and working toward a business management degree. My professors are great and I have learned so much already. It is wondrously enjoying to study at this collage.

I am going for my associates in Business Management and was happy to see all the classes i was looking for were available. I plan to continue onto a masters in this major if I can receive enough money to move forward. I believe there are plenty of jobs that need a good manager out there and that taking these classes will help me move into that position.

Although it snows often, most of the rough days get cancelled because the whole campus commutes. The only problem with my campus is that the one that controls if we get a snow day, is far enough away that while it's a blizzard down there we are nice and sunny (or the other way around.)

There are many options for getting your course requirements met, with classes that have a larger workload to ones that don't require all that much. There's literally a class for anyone here, the problem is getting into the ones you want in time before they get filled.
College Sophomore 2013-06-25T15:02:00Z
I love all my professors and courses so far, although there was a bit of an issue with one of them using a glitchy program so grades got messed up. I love being in my program and I hope that the classes keep getting better.
College Sophomore 2013-06-25T15:00:38Z
They seem willing to help you get more money... if you know who to ask and when to ask. Sometimes it feels like I'm just going around in circles, but if you get the financial aid to cover your tuition and books, it's not that messy of a situation.

We seem to have good fan and team spirit, but I haven't been at the school very long to know much more than that.

There aren't really any dining halls that I'm aware of but they have bake sales or events with food all the time. That food is good.
