I did not apply for financial aid. I have not heard anyone talk about the process in a good or bad way.

I did not use scholarships.

We have quite a few scholarships for qualifying students, some general and others based on majors.
The only problem is that they are not very publicized and you really have to meet within someone to find out all the information.
But I think after you have done all that work, the scholarship is usually worth it.

UMW really only gives scholarships to honors students and minorities. The tuition is less expensive then most other schools, though.

I received little to no financial aid. The people that I talked to about scholarships said that it was very rare to be given a scholarship unless it is in your declared major or you are within the top 2 percent GPA range. It would be a lot more helpful knowing that students will not be receiving money when they are applying, that way they can look for schools that will suit them better price wise. This was not common knowledge displayed on the website, they did not tell people the lack of scholarships they gave.
Sorry, there are no reviews.
