The walker apartments are REALLY nice, they're like the best at UMBC. The only bad part is you have to walk down/up a hill to get or get from the apartments. I would leave the Walker apartments about 10 mins to get to classes, just to be safe. But Walker is super nice
Thank you for the reply! :) Is there a way to avoid the hill?
Um not that I've seen, they're built on a hill
I'm not sure about the freshmen dorms (I'm a commuter) but there are mice on campus in the nonresidential buildings - as far as I can tell.
there ARE?

UMBC is a great university. Its diversity, high-quality education, and leadership opportunities make it a place where everyone can shine. UMBC’s is small enough so students won’t feel like just a face in the crowd, but it is big enough for all students to find something they may be interested in. You can mingle with students from 120 different countries, and do everything from attend Bhangra classes to Shabbat dinners. Education is top-notch here, and classes are taught by experienced professors who also dedicate a lot of time to research. The curriculum is always up-to-date and interesting, and UMBC has excellent programs, especially for students looking to major in the arts, sciences, or engineering. The numerous leadership opportunities available in student government, clubs, and the Shriver Center help prepare students for their future careers, and the University often has programs to help promote leadership among students, such as retreats for current leaders or anyone looking to gain leadership skills. The Shriver Center offers students a variety of resources and tools, such as resume help or assistance finding co-ops, internships, or jobs upon graduation. UMBC truly prepares students for real life by giving them the skills, knowledge, and experience to help them become successful professionals in the future.
