College Prowler Take
One of the best things about UMCP is the availability, quality, and variety of food on campus, which make living on campus a real treat. In addition to the Stamp Student Union Food Court, home to Adele’s, a restaurant within the Union, campus also has two popular dining halls. The Diner—a fun and extremely comfortable place to eat and even study—on North Campus offers so many possibilities that students can go a couple of months without eating the same thing twice there. The South Campus Dining Hall is on the opposite side of campus and offers a good amount of options as well, including made-to-order meals. In addition to the overabundance of options and the staff’s willingness to help students, both dining halls continue to offer the extremely popular “Late Night” dining hours until midnight Sunday through Thursday. Students may purchase fast food snacks, sandwiches, ice cream, and plenty of beverages, all of which are generally also offered during normal business hours. Eating healthy on the campus is easy—the challenge, however, is not having dessert at every single meal.

I personally love the Diner food....
I personally love the Diner food. Some people complain about it, and those who do, will do so profusely. However, they often had house-moms who made different gourmet meals for them every night. There are tons of choices, including different basic meals every day and a large number of standard stations. Alot of guys, including myself, have difficulty staying under budget as far as points go. The thing to do is to go to the diner with girls and ask one of them to treat you, making sure to alternate which person. They are usually scared to death of the freshmen 15, would never use their points anyway, and understand what's up, so nobody minds. If you're really picky/stupid, there are plenty of fast food places on Route 1.

HORRIBLE - Makes Living Here Awful
F
The dining here is the worst part of the school. The food is awful and has no nutritional value. It is INSANELY over priced. You are required to buy the meal plan. You pay $1000+ /year in "facilities fees" for nothing, despite being charged much greater than restaurant prices for food, getting no service and having dirty facilities.
The diners are all closed on weekend mornings, so you better not plan on eating breakfast...or lunch.
They also cut off your dining points every few weeks so as to decrease the likelihood that you use all of the money that you already gave them.
The food is also repetitive and completely unsettling. No one knows if it is true or false that they put laxatives in the food, but my roommate woke up 3/5 weekdays puking from it.
HANDS DOWN AS BAD AS IT COULD BE.

It's pretty good, but it gets old. Most things end up tasting eerily similar, leaving you with an unmistakable "diner" flavor in your mouth.
