Facts

Interviews & Information Sessions

Reservations are required to schedule a campus visit/information session. The information session is generally a 45-minute presentation conducted by an admissions representative. After the session, there's a 90-minute walking tour of campus led by a Maryland Images student ambassador.

Campus Tours

The 90-minute “Terrapin Tours” of campus are led by students Monday through Friday at 11 a.m. and 2 p.m. No reservation is needed. Prospective students visit classroom buildings, a room in one of the residence halls, one of the two dining halls, one of the libraries, the athletic facilities, and the student union. These tours leave from the main floor of the Rossborough Inn.

Overnight Visits

The University offers the Overnight Stay Program for accepted students in the spring. Prospective students are given a complimentary pass to the Eppley Recreation Center (ERC) and tag along with a University student who shares common interests with them.

Did You Know? Students have the opportunity to join the group called Maryland Images, the official tour guide organization at the UMCP.
