School Spirit
Although school spirit is not as big at UMass as it is at other large state schools, it is on the rise with the help of student groups dedicated to growing attendance rates to sporting events. You can see many students representing maroon and white, the school colors, throughout campus. There are certain sporting events that are known to draw big crowds at UMass, like Midnight Madness, the Homecoming football game and various tailgates.
Getting Tickets
All regular season sporting events are free for students—just show up with your student ID.
Best Place to Take a Walk
The best places to take a walk are around the campus pond, the bike path, or the center of town.
