Advice on Finding a Job/Internship The Toppel Career Center is a great resource for students thinking ahead. There are numerous conventions on campus every year where hundreds of potential employers come to collect résumés or talk to students about job opportunities. As far as internships go, most individual schools within the University have a staff member to talk to students about internships during their stay at UM. Get to know your school’s internship adviser so that he or she comes to you first with the best offers. If you’re looking to get started on internships early, talk to older students in your major to see if they can recommend something for you. Later on in your college career, head over to the Toppel Career Center and meet with someone there to discuss future job offers.
