Student Author OverviewWhat's This?

There aren’t many cities that can match Miami as far as restaurants go. There is basically an endless amount of new places to try, and thankfully the quality of the restaurants matches up with the quantity of them. If you usually eat around Sunset Place, or on US-1, you can always head to Coconut Grove, South Beach, or downtown Coral Gables for a totally different selection of restaurants. All of these areas have numerous great restaurants, ranging from casual, cheap pizza and bar food, to expensive seafood or Italian. Students with cars like eating in the Grove, which also has shops, a movie theater, and lots of bars, providing for plenty of after-dinner entertainment. Even students without transportation will be impressed by the off-campus dining. There are dozens of restaurants right across the street at Sunset Place and in the surrounding area, not to mention what else becomes available if you’re willing to risk a Metrorail ride.

Most students come to school without knowing a lot about Miami restaurants, and then they fall in love with a couple and frequent them for the next four years. The great thing about off-campus dining is that there is delivery available from so many places that almost every type of food can be covered. Besides pizza, there are also Mexican, Chinese, and Cuban restaurants that deliver. For quick 24-hour dining, it’s about a five-minute to drive to Taco Bell or McDonald’s. For larger meals at all hours, look for Denny’s across the street, La Carreta and its various neighbors on Calle Ocho, or Jerry’s Deli in South Beach, where there’s never a shortage of things to do at any hour of the day.

Okay

dining off campus is actually very convenient because prices are usually cheaper than buying something on campus, but of course there are no student discounts. Since the school is off of US! the variety of places that you can encounter are endless.
