Central campus dorms are okay but North Campus dorms are known to be not as good and far away. The pricing is kind of high but food is included.

Professors are amazing and accomplished. They make themselves available to meet with everyone no matter the class size.

Health & Safety:
Alerts are sent out as soon as anything mildly threatening happens on campus. Alerts include where the incidents happen along with descriptions of possible suspects when they're available. There are also emergency button stations around campus that alert authorities if you're in trouble.

Everyone at the University of Michigan can use the Michigan buses for free or the Ann Arbor buses for free. The Ann Arbor buses extend way out into the city and even make it to the neighboring town.

The pros are that it is usually a lot cheaper to live in Ypsilanti. However, transportation into the university can be very difficult if you are taking morning classes. I recommend living on campus, because classes are intense and you will not have time for a three hour commute everyday.

The best weather is in the summertime. The fall and winter months are usually frigid, with lots of snow. The campus does a great job of paving roads and keeping the walkways clear. The university will NEVER shut down due to bad weather. It is the usual here.

I love the variety of choices. You can have Indian, Chinese, Mexican, Ethiopian, American, and many other cuisines. The downside is the price. An average meal for two will end up costing roughly 30-40 dollars. The food is amazing, but on a student budget in can be a bit expensive.

It is very difficult to find parking on campus. It is also very costly. My boyfriend parked in the wrong spot once and he was towed, charged 300 for towing, and 1000 for parking in a handicap space. It was not clearly labeled. We tried fighting the ticket and lost. I am very happy I do not own a car in Ann Arbor. It's faster to ride a bike.

At the law school, where I study, the program is rigorous, the professors demanding, and the education highly difficult and rewarding.

The campus strictness appears to be very reasonable at the University of Michigan in Ann Arbor. The focus appears to be on safety, not busting students just for the sake of busting them.

There are quite a lot to choose from, but the popular ones are extremely expensive.

We have the "fish bowl" and computer labs around campus. It's easy to get hands on one of the computers.

The frat houses are closely located. So you can choose where to go. House parties are also very popular.

Sports at Umich is a big part! Our football and basketball team are doing great and we have really good atmosphere during the sports season.

North Quad is great since it is new and the university spent millions on it. Other than that, you find old housing and some relatively far away from campus.

Amazing. The teachers are great, the work is really heavy but if you focus and pay attention in class and STUDY STUDY STUDY you'll do fine.

The academics are AMAZING but the fact that the campus is integrated with the city is a big bonus.

It's really pretty and a tight-knit community, the pride for the school is amazing and the buildings range from old-fashioned beauty to modern buildings.

I didn't really get that much financial aid and it was pretty confusing for me.

Guys & Girls:
Ann Arbor students in general dress a lot better than most places. It's a pretty friendly city.

UM offers a lot of public transportation that promotes safety on campus and around the city.

Ann Arbor has a great mix of restaurants and food options.

Parking on campus is a literal nightmare and is very expensive. I would avoid bringing a car if you are living on campus.
