It gets cold but it drives you to go to the library and study. It's not distracting like at other schools.

There are a limited number of apartments within decent walking distance to campus and the rush to get these apartments/houses is brutal--you need to start looking for off campus housing within the first two months of school. That being said---the houses/apartments are generally very nice and with the new additions of landmark and west zaragon a lot more off campus housing options are becoming available.

They definitely provide you transportation (the Ride and the Michigan bus), and it is relativlely reliable except on the weekends.

I'm currently in the honors program and completing requirements to apply to the business school. Individually, the classes are not that difficult, but each one has a heavy work load and require too much time, so all together it's very challenging.

My major, PPE (Politics, Philosophy, and Economics), is a program that allows me to pick whatever direction I would like to connect the three subjects, there is a great deal of flexibility.

There is definitely visible alcohol, especially on football saturdays. Otherwise, during the week things aren't too bad- I do not see that many hard drugs but they exist.

The registration is alright, the workload is not too difficult. The library is often loud and there is not that many study spots, but there are a lot of ways to meet with GSI's and a math lab ect

We have everything and they are all ranked top 10 or top 25

It has gotten a lot better since my freshman year. East Quad, North Quad, and Couzens are all like hotels for this coming freshman class.

Football pregames are huge. The town goes wild on game days.

There is no doubt that you are able to find a computer in practically every building at the University. Not to mention, students' preferences to computer softwares (i.e. Mac or PC) are always met. In addition, a student is able to find many programs/applications available for their studies/entertainment in the computers.
Basically, you can make it throughout all four years of college without ever owning your own laptop/desktop.

Michigan stadium is the biggest and greatest capacity in the entire country. We have the greatest football record by far, which says something about the level of skill as well. Everyone knows that Michigan Wolverine spirit is HUGE, even off campus. We have most likely the greatest school spirit in the BIG 10 and the biggest fan base in the country as well. The facilities are unbelievable and cost millions and millions of dollars. The football games bring in about 10 million dollars per game.

Although it has been researched that about 20% of the student population is in Greek Life, this small number does not hold them back when it comes to community outreach. The Greek Life systems is great because while they try to build brotherhood/sisterhood and networking, Greek Life also seeks to do community service and fundraising for public utility.

Michigan is known for its strong psychology department. The major is pretty easy to fulfill however, there are very few credits. There is a wide and diverse variety of classes to choose from which is nice, and many professors with research who are always looking for RAs.

University of Michigan athletics are the best. We have the most school spirit, and all of our teams perform very well!
College Junior 2012-11-14T02:59:25Z
The Athletics at the University are remarkable. Fan support is always available and this goes along with the school's spirit. Although most of the student population does not consist mostly of athletes, there is involvement through intramural and recreational sports. I want to add that the competitiveness is very explicit. When trying out for a sport, you may find yourself lucky to be in a team or not, but not being on a team should not let students down because there is always involvement in sports, even at the noncompetitive level.

I am in the School of Nursing here at U of M, and I think it is an exceptional program. It is very difficult, but I think it provides students with the knowledge needed to become successful in the medical field.

There are many different schools and programs here at The University of Michigan, which makes it a great place to learn and find out what you really love.

There are restaurants all over campus that offer a variety of choices, and they're affordable as well!
College Junior 2012-11-14T02:49:46Z
The campus is sufficiently huge and it's located nicely within the city so that students may enjoy the hustle and bustle of the city at night. The buildings and departments are nicely scattered throughout the campus and walking is not a hassle, unless you live on North Campus, that is. :)
College Senior 2012-11-14T02:49:13Z
Academically, the school cares a lot about how its students learn to write. There is an extremely strict plagiarism policy and classes for freshmen who are behind in writing, making sure that everyone can write a good level essay for their upper level classes. If any student is caught plagiarizing, they automatically fail the course, and also must see the dean of students.

Its an interesting program and with climate change affecting us more and more, its important to know about. With all the changes in the environment, I don't anticipate having that hard a time finding a job.
