Diverse & Fun – There is so much to do in Ann Arbor. You can watch indie/classic films at either the State or Michigan theaters or take a bus to a more major theater. There is a great variety of restaurants, offering cultural foods from middle-eastern to thai. There are solid 18 and up clubs. Ann Arbor itself doesn't attract big name bands, but The Ark usually has a solid line up of bands that come.

Very nice apartments with many amenities. Prices are a little expensive. Regardless, still MUCH cheaper than dorming.

They're Pretty Reasonable – It's an expensive school, there's pretty much no way around it. But financial aid is willing to try and do everything in their power to help make paying for school as easy as possible.

I Love It Here! There's enough people so if you don't get along with some, there's still thousands of people that are potential friends. The campus is great and the city is great and I love my classes and even though it's kind of pricey, I wouldn't trade this school for anything. I love being in the best college marching band and being a part of such an awesome tradition.

Health & Safety:
Campus Police Rock – There have been plenty of incidences, but we live in the city so it's to be expected. I always get an email and text message update as soon as there's a problem and it always has great tips for staying safe-the police here are awesome! Safety is very important here.

A majority of the time it is extremely cold in Ann Arbor and snows a lot as well. Although it makes it inconvenient to go out for fun, there are things to do inside as well. Those who maintain the campus are very good about salting the sidewalks. Classes are relatively close to each other and even if things are far away the buses run from convenient places.

A Diverse Population – I have never been in a academic environment comprised of a throughly mixed ratio of races. Along with these races there are numerous religions at UMich. The student body and faculty support these races by having student organizations, performances, conferences, and events that reflect these races and religions, as well as sexual orientation. These events and organizations are open to all students despite their views which provides a extensive array of educational opportunities and a path towards acceptance of all.

Great Resources – The University of Michigan definitely has a very challenging curriculum, however there are numerous resources in order to make courses easier to cope with. The professors make themselves available for students for further assistance on the course. There are also several other buildings that specialize in helping students.

Difficult for Out-Of-State – They give a lot of merit scholarships, especially in LSA, but I know of a lot of out-of-state students who are paying full tuition.

access is available in every building. Occasionally, the printers get clogged, but everything else is good.

All in One – A huge school that can be made small, everything is available and each person will find his/her own niche. Great academically, socially, great sports (usually) and great school spirit

obviously i wish i would have gotten more financial aid. Michigan is an expensive school. i was able to get a small academic scholarship, so that helped a little. the whole financial aid process in general is just pretty difficult i think.

you can bus around ann arbor pretty easily. there are always buses going around, and with your M card you can ride for free. it is pretty tough to get anywhere outside of Ann ARbor for a good price, though. YOu need to take a cab, which can get pretty expensive.

the dining here is pretty decent. i have allergies to gluten and dairy and i can almost always find at least one thing on the menu that i can eat, besides the salad and sandwich bars. it's not the most excellent food in the world, but it's definitely not bad.

I recieved a lot of scholarships from my home town but it's pretty difficult to get a scholarship from the University of Michigan. Mainly because they don't give out scholarships directly from the University, many are from U of M alum. However, I did receive a loan through FAFSA if that is associated with the university?

Who Knows – I'm not involved in the Greek life so I'm not too sure on the housing situation, but there are quite a few big frats on campus. The parties are fun but seem to be a far walk from central campus. I'm a non-greek but I have a few friends who are greek students and they love it.

Guys & Girls:
U of M Guys and Girls – Almost every girl is wearing some color North face and Uggs, while the men sport the U of M tee shirts and sweat pants. Both guys and girls at U of M are pretty cocky and full of themselves. Every now and then I'll run into a real attractive guy, but there's not too many around. The girls are pretty, but stuck up.
Sorry, there are no reviews.
