Michigan Athletics are the best in the nation. We have amazing NCAA teams with numerous championships. Intramural sports are huge on campus too involving almost all the students. However, some of the facilities could be renovated.

Tons of computers in different buildings all around campus. Although some locations can be crowded during exam season, there is always some computers open.

Its Fine – The bus system is pretty easy to use, both the local one and the UofM one.

It's Everywhere – Weed is everywhere. If you've never seen it around, you probably have never left your room. Coke and other drugs are prominent as well.

Super Pricey – It is possible to find good deals, but expect to fork out the money for a house or apartment.

Freshman Dorms-North Campus – Stuck on North Campus my freshman year, the dorms felt dirty and often had a bad odor. The food was ok but not too many healthy choices. It was a good experience and the people were great. Dorms on central campus are much nicer.

Hit up the Bars – Clubs are alright, not that great. Younger students go mainly to frat parties while older students go to the bars which really aren't that hard to get into.

Guys & Girls:
A lot of people say that when you attend Michigan you gain 'Michigan Goggles' and start thinking unattractive girls are hot. This isn't really true, you just have to search them out, they're hidden among the copious amounts of Jewish American Princesses.

Athletic Centers/Librararies – The athletic centers are adequate. The equipment is kind of old, but perfectly fine to use. The libraries are really good and useful, there's a multitude of of them on campus, some good for studying some good for working on group projects.

Diversity and Educational Superiority – The University of Michigan attracts students from all around the world; with varying religious backgrounds, ethnic backgrounds, economic backgrounds, political affiliations, etc.
You will see a very broad mix of students, and consequentially a very broad range of opinions and beliefs.
U of M also offers some of the best educational courses in the world. Top notch professors, amazing libraries and computer labs and other resources at your disposal.

Fitness Centers Are Amazing – The fitness centers/gyms on campus are absolutely amazing. Multi-story buildings full of state-of-the-art equipment. Swimming pools, tennis courts, basketball courts, indoor jogging tracks, and much more.
The facilities are free to all enrolled members at University of Michigan.

Very Educational Field – I am a Kinesiology major at University of Michigan. U of M is considered to have one of the best Kinesiology branches in America, and it shows. The professors are top notch, the educational material and texts are well up-to-date.
This major more than prepares you for any career path of Kinesiology.

Cold and Snowy Winters – Ann Arbor gets to experience all the seasons almost equally, except for the fact that Michigan winters are a bit harsh. But all in all, the weather doesn't affect the fun of college.

Convenient and Easy – Free public transportation exists at almost all hours at Michigan. Two bus services as well as late night cabs to pick you. Most of the attractions on or near campus is within walking distance, making traveling quite easy.

There and Big, but Not Significant to Have Fun. At Michigan, Greek life definitely exists and is surprisingly all over. However, it isn't the center of life on campus despite it being the catalyst for all the partying that goes on. Basically, it's integral to the campus life, but not important to enjoying Michigan.

There is virtually no meter parking on campus, and to park in any lot you have to pay around $100 a month for a permit. There are a few public structures, but they cost around $1.50 and hour

Guys & Girls:
Don't Worry, Be Happy – Since the University of Michigan has a pretty large Engineering program, some of the students can be style challenged. However, the high number of East Coast students definitely make the student body hotter.

The food is generally okay, but is semi-unhealthy. I always felt like I had to search for a while to find healthy options.

Everyone Is Represented – Our student body is very diverse, and as a whole our community is very accepting. The LSA Student Government president is gay, and there are tons and tons of cultural groups around campus. I have friends from Puerto Rico and Sri Lanka. It's pretty much guaranteed you can find your niche ethnically/culturally here.

Health & Safety:
Very Safe – I always feel safe here.. there are emergency phones everywhere on campus, and the school is really good with getting crime alerts out. I've walked back to my dorm at like 2AM and didn't have a second thought about it (it also helps that students are everywhere at all hours of the night)

The Leaders and Best – This school is amazing and I would not want to enroll anywhere else. It is a very prestigious university and I also feel like it has the best social scene out of all schools in Michigan. There are hundreds of university clubs, groups, and Greek life. I can guarantee that any person that enrolls in this university will find a group of peers that they can fully relate too.

The Drug Scene Is Whatever You Want to Make It – There are plenty of people that will drink alcohol, but that seems to be very common at all universities. Drugs other than alcohol though, are never encouraged by any peers. Although they are available if you want them, no one is considered differently if they do not use them. In my opinion, you can make it as drug popular or drug free as you want. There are plenty of people in each of the groups

Maize and Blue Faithful – U of M sports are top notch. I actually just read that we won the Mens Gymnastic National Championship. No other school can compare to the tradition of the maize and blue. No football stadium can compare to the Big House. Also I am a referee for IM basketball and football and it is very fun and competitive. I also play 4 IM sports along with refereeing. I love the athletic scene overall.

Very Helpful DPS – At the University of Michigan, the DPS are very friendly and looking out for students. They patrole the halls, and give students helpful information on move out and other saftey tips. However, if you are looking for them to let you party, that is not the case. If you are in need of help because of a party, they are there for you.

You Will Pay for the Location – Ann Arbor has a very wide range of apartments and houses available. However, if you want to be close to campus, you have to be ready to pay for it. Living with others, and sharing rooms can help ease the cost. But, add parking and utilities, and you have a big bill.
Sorry, there are no reviews.
