Student Author OverviewWhat's This?
Ann Arbor has a reputation for being many things: artsy, liberal, cultural, scenic, and politically charged, to name a few. With a handful of stores, restaurants, and even two movie theaters, it's easy to find something to do any night of the week. An incredibly young city with a median age of 27, it's virtually impossible to determine where the campus ends and the city begins.
Popular parts of the city include State Street, Main Street, and South University Avenue. Locally-owned shops, diverse restaurants, and the occasional chain store define these areas, with loud storefront signs and welcoming atmospheres. Ann Arbor is said by many to be your quintessential college town—a great place to walk around with friends, parents, and even on your own during class breaks.
