If students were to choose one major drawback about Michigan, it would undoubtedly be the parking. With the exception of a few parking garages that fill up quickly, Ann Arbor is a major metropolitan city where walking and biking is the fastest (and least frustrating) method of transportation. Students who bring cars must purchase parking permits in order to use University lots. Most recommend leaving your car at home, as almost anything you need can be found within walking distance. Public transportation can be used in the chance that you do need to leave Ann Arbor.
