College Prowler Take
Although most agree that Michigan isn’t known for its hot students, few seem to complain. A handful of students openly admit to not being able to pay attention in class because of the plethora of hotties that surrounds them. At a school as large as UM, you’re bound to find, at the very least, a mixed bag when it comes to looks. Luckily, no matter what you prefer, there is most likely somebody sexy on campus just dying to meet you. We may not be on Playboy’s top 10 list for hotties, but we’re probably not far from an honorable mention, either. Come on, Hugh! Expect to find good-looking people if you come to the University of Michigan. The majority of the students here take time to look good, and many are on the forefront of the fashion world. Of course, there is always that crazy guy who feels the need to wear shorts when it’s 10 degrees outside, and there’s a handful of students who go to class in their PJs, but most U of M students look, at the very least, presentable. The girls seem to "disappear"...
The girls seem to "disappear" around November when it starts getting cold and everyone starts wearing four layers of clothes, but you know when it's getting warm when all of a sudden everyone you ever took a second glance at in the beginning of school makes a reappearance.

We have a bad rep for having really stuck-up people. I won’t lie, Ann Arbor is full of people who are made of money, but you just have to associate with the type of people you feel comfortable with. Personally, I think that we have a prime selection of really good-looking guys, and most of the girls are nice. |

It’s hard to tell what the girls look like most of the year under three layers of North Face attire. It’s always entertaining the first time it hits 60 degrees—you see what the girls really look like. Michigan’s girls must be tops in the Big Ten, but it’s no southern school, though. |

Yes - There are free condoms at UHS. UHS also prescribes birth control medications to women.
Social Scene
Like all colleges, the social scene at Michigan revolves around the weekend. Depending on your scene, most of the action happens at the bars, house parties, or frats, with the most hookups taking place at frat parties, although the bar brings its fair share of hookups.
Hookups or Relationships?
For the most part, serious relationships aren't all that common on Michigan's campus. The ongoing hookup is common, but relationships at UM never seem to advance much beyond that. Of course, there are people that have serious relationships, and people do couple off, but mostly, it's just big groups of friends going out together.
Best Places to Meet Guys/Girls
At Michigan, there is no best place to meet others, but some of the most obvious hotspots are frat parties, house parties, in class, and dorms. Yes, class was included in that list. In certain classes, especially those that are discussion-based, it's quite easy to turn on the charm and win someone over. It happens time and time again (just one more reason to pay attention in class). Of course, the Greek scene is like one large family where everyone seems to know everyone else, so you can always get set-up that way. Another social atmosphere is the UGLi (Undergraduate Library). It sounds dorky, but this is one of the largest social centers on campus. People don’t study at the UGLi because it’s peaceful and quiet, they go to do group work, and often it’s abuzz with chatter. You’ll always see someone you know, and, if you’re doing group work, it’s the perfect place to work your “Don Juan” magic.
