College Prowler Take

Although your meal plan may suffice, no one can resist the temptation of eating at any of the large variety of off-campus restaurants, most of which are as close to campus, if not closer, than the dorms themselves. If it’s late-night food you’re craving, hit up Jimmy John’s, Panchero’s, or Backroom Pizza. NYPD Pizza is well liked by students, too, but be prepared for a wait. All in all, the off-campus eats are great in Ann Arbor, and few students complain about the lack of options. So many restaurants, so little time! For a smaller town, Ann Arbor offers a selection of restaurants that’s hard to believe. You could eat out every night of the week, and have a hard time eating at the same place twice. There is a selection of nearly every ethnic cuisine under the sun, as well as some great American comfort food. From late-night burritos at Panchero’s, to Ethiopian food at the Blue Nile, and everything in between, Ann Arbor’s got it all and, oh yeah, the food tastes good, too.

After a semester at UofM you'll find yourself having special bonds and allegiances to certain eateries around town. My personal favorites include BTB (Big Ten Burrito), Bell's Pizza (can you say "late night specials?") and Mr. Spots (best burger in town). Zingerman's deli has been given great reviews by Zagat and is a must visit (gets crowded on football weekends). Also, the Buffalo Wild Wings on State Street is a great place to watch a big game.

The campus is right in the middle of the city, so there are many restaurants to choose from, whether you want pizza or something fancy. Gratzi is the ideal restaurant to take a date.

For delivery at economic prices,...

For delivery at economic prices, Jimmy John’s and Mr. Greek’s is what I lived off of. The food in Ann Arbor is incredible; it has more restaurants than it does people, and there’s food from all over the world. If you have the money or want to treat yourself once in a while, I really enjoyed Mongolian BBQ and Champion House and too many more to list.
