I complete my classes online so I am not sure what Crookston MN is like.

It is awesome, the gym is totally free, the work out room and everything. Things need to be looked over sometimes though whether or not it is benefiting students or not.

The public transportation is pretty good, mostly things are in biking distance.

There are many interesting clubs, there are alot of interesting people that attend and teach at this college. The small town atmosphere is great!

I have not done an internship yet but i hear really good things and plan on doing one through the school.

I love this program and i would not change anything. I plan to attend u of m twin cities after this for my DVM then to become a meat animal vet.

I think the most difficult thing I encountered was getting vet hours. overall, getting into the pre-veterinary program was not all that difficult.

I'd Say It's Worth It – The UMC dining hall usually has a pretty good selection for most meals. If not, there's the Eagle's Nest (the little convenience store on the floor below the dining hall); and the Grill open in the evening has a pretty good selection too. I'd say the campus dining is worth it.

The area is pretty laid back, we have our get together off campus
College Sophomore 2013-01-16T01:15:18Z
I live on campus, but some of my friends live off campus and stated it is very reasonable and safe.

Athletics department could be better, especially the field, and the field house. The fan support could be better, then again we are in a very small town. School spirit is good.

I wanted a small campus environment but a big degree. So when I was offered a scholarship there for football I accepted, but had second thoughts of the cold cold weather. It has great academics, and great value but not a great location. The professors are pretty cool, and workload is not too heavy, since we work mainly on our computers, which was given to me and all athletes. The study area is great.

When its not snowing or super freezing, its great!

Some apartments are close but there's only a few. It's still a hassled to drive to campus and find parking.

Dining halls are good. Good places to eat around campus also.

Drugs are not used by many students. Alcohol is used by many but mostly off-campus.

I am majoring in animal science and equine science. So far all of the professors that I have had have all had personal experiences. We do all kinds of hands on work with animals and we get to see exactly how to do things before we get a job in our field of study. Also all of the professors in these degrees are very laid back and easy to go and talk to about anything.

We are all provided a laptop at the beginning of the year, so we don't have to worry about going to a computer lab to get homework done. In some of the dorm rooms there is no WiFi at all so we have to plug our computers in all the time. There are printers in every building so if one printer doesn't work you can always print to another one. They are very quick about getting you a replacement computer if you need it.

If you aren't used to the weather then it will be a rough winter. Most of the days during the winter the temperature goes remains into the negavitves all day long, so make sure you have hat, gloves, and a decent coat. I still see people walking around campus with no coats and that is a really good way to make yourself sick. There are buildings you can walk through to get to class so it really isn't that bad you are only out side for around 5 minutes. In the fall and spring everyone hangs out outside and it is a beautiful campus in the fall.

Always start with the lowest meal plan because you can always move up to a higher meal plan later in the year if you need to. The food can get a little boring because it is just cafeteria food everyday but they have a wide range of options so it isn't that bad. If you aren't picky you can survive with eating all your meals at the dining hall. They also have 2 other places on campus that you can go and get food from which have better food than the dining hall.

Very AG based, but nice people and very open to new ideas.

Usually have busses for those who don't have their own form of transportation.
College Junior 2012-10-18T23:12:53Z
Most of the off-campus dining is fast food, but Crookston probably has some nice places. There is about three Chinese options, which is neat if you like Chinese. I don't really eat out to much.

Since the university is in Minnesota; it snows and rains. The living arrangements are kind of far from the classes rooms, which is a little annoying when walking in snow and rain. However, when the weather is nice it is really fun.

I don't really do anything with Greek life at the university. I do know they have a club which people who want to join can.
Sorry, there are no reviews.
