Super Easy

Applying to be an Environmental Studies major was easy. I just had to fill out an elective plan, detailing the classes I intended to take, and then explain my goals for the program and what exactly I wanted to get out of it. This was a nice touch, because it forced me to be goal-oriented and to focus on where exactly I want to go within my major.

Fun, but Not Career Worthy

Sports on campus tend to be fairly popular, and each team has its own team building exercises and their own team spirit. Many of the sports teams find community and family within one another, just like any other sport. The abilities of the players range from not great to above average, but it's likely you won't find many top-notch players at Morris. Most of the students that are participating in sports are doing it because they enjoy the sport and the team atmosphere.

Health & Safety at University of Minnesota - Morris

Very Safe

I have always felt safe on the Morris campus., The only bad thing is that sometimes there is theft of bicycles if students don't lock them up, or about unsecured belongings being taken. Bicycle theft happens very frequently on campus, unsecured belongings not so often. We have three real, full time police officers available 24/7 (not rent-a-cops or security guards) that aid students in feeling safe and secure on campus.
