The U of M has wireless access available to all students. There are certain areas that don't receive the signal (some of the dorm rooms), but for the most part, you can log in with your student ID and number to use the Wi-Fi.

The University of Minnesota sells Dell laptops at student prices. The Tech Support in Coffman Union also sells Microsoft office and Mac software packages at student prices of about $100.
