Student Author OverviewWhat's This?

There are many viable off-campus dining options for the students attending the U of M. Minneapolis and St. Paul are rich with flavors from different cultures. Whether it's fine cuisine or junk food you're craving, off-campus dining offers it all. A student can easily take a bus downtown to experience good food, or just walk over to Dinkytown, where most of University Avenue and Fourth Street are dedicated to eateries. The options include different delicacies such as Italian, Thai, Chinese, and Indian food. The students find the selection of restaurants in the Twin Cities terrific because no one wants to go to the same three restaurants over and over again. Luckily, Minneapolis and St. Paul are so dedicated to fine food that there is even a street in Minneapolis that is proudly called, “Eat Street.”

Students get tired of eating the dorm food, and soon venture out to off-campus establishments. It can get expensive, though. If a student has a meal plan, he or she should avoid eating out a lot because that would be a waste of the meal plan. But an outing now and then is a good and appreciated change. The downside of living in such a highly populated area is having to wait for the tables at some places, such as at Annie's Parlour in Dinkytown. But with a little patience, effort, and money, a student can enjoy any type of food they like at any time of the day.

Few but Plentiful

Around the the university in stadium village and the Dinkytown area there are a plethora of restaurants and diners. The thing is the options are fairly limited. Within walking distance of campus there are 7 different pizza places, and about 6 burger places. They all have their unique draws but are essentially the same thing. There are the specialty stores mixed in that offer variety, but the basic is emphasized. Prices are reasonable, and specials are definitely plentiful. Burrito Loco, Annie's Parlor, and Mesa pizza all deserve a stop through.

So Many

There are so many places right by my school to eat at. like every corner is a restaurant and are very convenient. I don't think there are any student discounts, not that i have checked but there are many restaurants one can go to.
