Interviews & Information Sessions

Typically, information sessions are organized by college. For the schedule for each college, visit the Admissions website.

Campus Tours

There are three different types of tours: freshman, group, and transfer. Prospective students can register for any of them online.

Overnight Visits

Prospective students are not allowed to spend the night in the dorms.

Did You Know?
  • The University of Minnesota does not offer transportation services to the visitors. But city transportation can be a good resource. Any other group needs can be addressed by calling (612) 625-2445 or emailing flat0101@umn.edu.
  • Visitors with disabilities are encouraged to visit Disability Services while they are on campus (McNamara Alumni Center). If any visitors need special accommodations, requests can be made either my reservations online or by calling (612) 626-1333.
  • STEM visit day is a day for prospective transfer students interested in science, technology, engineering, and math to discuss academic options and support services offered at U of M.
