College Prowler Take
The University of Minnesota, Twin Cities provides admirable academic opportunities, an environment that facilitates those opportunities, and a surrounding in which students are able to construct their own unique opportunities and experiences. Get out to the theater once in a while, walk around one of the many lakes, get involved in a student organization, bike along the river, visit an art exhibit, participate in a school function, shop for a friend, take an extra class just because it sounds interesting, go to a concert, create your own projects, and experience all that you can. College really is a uniquely rewarding experience. Being centered in a large metro area adds to this experience by exposing students to a wide range of people, ideas, and opportunities. By committing yourself to University life, your academic aptitude will grow, you will build strong interpersonal skills, and you will learn about the meaning of dedication and responsibility. In the midst of these two beautiful cities, in the classroom and out, you will build strong personal morals, refine your ideals, and structure your beliefs. It may be difficult—at times, it may be downright frustrating—but when you leave the University of Minnesota, Twin Cities, you will better understand not only the world around you, but you will also know who you are. In short, you will be an adult with many fond memories and the rest of a bright future to look forward to.

So far, I have enjoyed the U of M, and I'm very glad I made the decision to come here. There is so much to do on and off campus, everyone is friendly, dorms and dorm food are decent, and there are tons of opportunities to get involved. There's definitely something for everyone here.

So far so good. I've learned that I actually have to study for my classes because the institute of technology is not easy. It's also a good thing to figure out where the libraries are and find places that allow you to be productive. I have a nice balance between studying and socializing. Typically I go to class and study during the week, maybe meet some friends for lunch. Some weekends I spend in the library, but usually I go out on Friday and Saturday night. The U of M offers so many activites and downtown Minneapolis is a five-minute bus ride away.

I love it. It has been the best four years of my life, and I met a lot of great friends. It is a huge campus, but after a week or so it’s easy. Don’t let the size scare you off. It’s a fun place, if you make it that way. |

I love the campus, the city, and all the people. My friends who go to private colleges say that the U of M is so big, but it really isn’t. I love everything about this place except the academic policies. |
