You will find your group but don't pigeon hole yourself. You'll be surprised how different you are by the time you graduate.
It is not necessary to have a car when living on campus. There are several buses that go anywhere in Oxford. You can always find a fiend that can give you a ride to Wal-Mat or restaurants around town.
Do many freshman's bring cars to the campus and how often do they use there cars?
I was a freshman last year. I took my car and only used it when I went home to visit. Like daisycat said there are buses that go everywhere in Oxford and there are map routes you can look up to see which bus you need to catch to get you where you need to go. Carpooling is popular as well among freshman when going out to dinner, to movies, or just to Wal-Mart.
