Student Author OverviewWhat's This?

Though some buildings may not look appealing from the outside, the insides of these buildings have been kept in good shape and continuously renovated over the years. These facilities are just waiting for their exterior faces to match the attractive settings within.

The most popular facility, in terms of looks and functionality, is the Turner Center. It houses the campus’ fitness equipment. Many students feel that it is a great athletic facility. It has everything from swimming pools to Ping-Pong tables to studios for group exercise classes. Though the Student Union looks like it came straight out of the ‘70s, it has a lot to offer. The bookstore, the box office, the university post office, the Southern Breeze, and some decent restaurants are all housed in the Union. It’s also pretty centrally located on campus. The J.D. Williams Library, the University’s main library, is open until 2 a.m. It’s also open 24 hours starting two weeks before finals.

Time in the Library

The Facilities at Ole Miss are tremendous. For example the library is very big and resourceful. There is a staff member at hand at all times. If you were to hungry or thirsty there is a starbucks located in the library. If you like to be alone, the library have many quiet and secret places for you to go. I must say every facility I have used thus far have been quite resoruceful.

Beautiful Women

Its a campus full of people that look dress and act the same. I am from Chicago and it has been a huge adjustment to the types of people down here. They are really nice, just not a fan how how they dress. The campus is beautiful and the teachers are very nice, most of them. The parking situations are not very good however. Food could be a lot better also

Favorite Things To Do

Go for a swim, a run, play a little tennis, or just sit in the Grove and do a little homework or pleasure reading. You can also check out two separate art collections: one at the School of Southern Studies and the other at the Mary Buie/Kate Skipwith Museum.

There are tons of different things to do off campus, but some students don’t take advantage of the opportunities on campus. Recently, students have caught the fever and often play a pick-up game of ultimate Frisbee in the Grove. There’s always an exhibit to check out on display in the School of Southern Studies in Barnard Observatory. You can also go to the J.D. Williams Library and into the Music/Blues Archive to learn more about famous musicians while listening to their collections, which they donated to the archive.
