The drug scene at Ole miss is there, but it depends on who you hang out with. Usually it's just smoking weed, but there are a good amount of people that do harder drugs like cocaine. Drinking is much more the drug of choice at Ole Miss.

I'm not sure about drugs, but campus policies about drinking are pretty lax. There are a lot of rules, but none of them are too strictly enforced.

There aren't many parties on campus. The bars off campus are for students 21-and-up. The clubs off campus admit students over 18. Some good spots are Illusions Sports Bar or The Library. Trust me, it's nothing like an ordinary library!

Oxford is not very big, but it's bigger than what I'm used to. The best thing to do is go out to eat at the good restaurants Oxford has to offer. There are many places to choose from. There are no other universities that are near UM, but Mississippi has plenty more to choose from.

Most of the parties on campus happen in either the dorms or frat houses. Many of the clubs are 18-and-up and contain mostly freshmen. So if want to get away from the younger crowd, go to bars that are for 21-and-up.

The alcohol policy on campus is pretty transparent. Basically, don't get caught and you'll be fine. If you go about flaunting that you're drinking, you'll most likely get what's coming to you. However, if you're smart about it and respect the rules, you'll be just fine. Use your head.

Diversity at the University of Mississippi is pretty rare. I think that a lot of students at Ole Miss are conservative, and many don't want to hear about others issues. It's very sad. At the same time, there are some who support different lifestyles and do not judge. It all depends on who you hang around with.
