Advice on Finding a Job/Internship
  • A lot of times, you will get emails about job opportunities for students, but for the most part, these are scams, so be very careful.
  • Internships are specific to your major, most of the time. A good place to start is the Mizzou website or talking to your adviser; he or she pretty much knows the ins and outs of MU.
  • Jobs in this town are pretty much a dime a dozen, especially if you have experience in a particular field. A great place to start would be the mall. There are a lot of shops, and the work is easy. Bars and restaurants are also a good place; considering the nightlife in CoMo, this is where money can be made, especially if you work Thursday through Saturday.
